3PA

The overarching goal of our activities is to encourage and develop local initiatives and experiences. Our main missions are to accompany, to educate/train and to inform. All of the above are based on the pedagogical principles of practical ecology and ecology for all. In order to include everyone – especially those most distanced from ecological practices – our activities rely on experimenting and trying out.
In this sense, 3PAs core principles are collective learning and exchange of knowledge, integration of environmental conscience into everyday and professional life, as well as the practical implementation of ecological principles. Accordingly, combining environmentally conscious practices with youth and educational activities are at the heart of our association.
The scope of our activities can be subdivided into five main areas:
• The school EVEIL (Ecole de la Vie, de l’Environnement et des Initiatives Locales – School of Life, Environment and Local Initiatives) is charged with creating awareness for environmental topics and environmental education.
• ETRE (Ecole de la TRansition Ecologique – School of Ecological Transition) aims at building awareness for job opportunities in sustainable development and provides training to young adults wishing to pursue a career in the environmental sector.
• CROQUE – the main aims are to raise awareness for food and nutrition related topics and to broach the issues of food quality, social commitment and reduction of food waste in collective canteens and to ameliorate their outcome.
• Maison de la Terre, it's an event space which is located at the heart of the village Poucharramet, offers various cultural events such as concerts, art expositions and other performances in a convivial atmosphere. Within its premises the café also encourages local organisations to exchange ideas and create synergies.
• Tiers-Lieux - concept of a third place – which is neither home nor the workplace – invites actors from different sectors (self-employed, companies, craftsmen, associations, students) to share premises in order to create both physical and creative proximity.

By means of its strong ties to the local community and territory, 3PA has positioned itself as a source of concrete proposals and practices in terms of sustainable development and circular economy. Ranging from eco-construction over gardening to healthy food, 3PA puts theoretical concepts into practice and makes them available to the general public. In this context, the association also organises thematic workshops or conferences and participates at fairs and various other events with its own booth.
