Youth Work for All: Inclusive Integration in Youth Work - Policies, Practices, and Innovation

Date:   Monday February 9th – Friday February 13th, 2026 (Monday & Friday are travel days)
Venue: Bucharest, Romania

Description of Event

This European event will explore youth work policy and practice with a particular focus on youth work’s role in supporting inclusive integration. It will examine how youth services across Europe engage with disabled young people, geographically isolated young people, and young migrants, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities within this work.

Bringing together practitioners, youth workers, policymakers, and organisations with proven expertise, the event will showcase high-quality, innovative approaches from across the youth sector. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, reflect on effective strategies, and contribute to building a stronger evidence base around emerging methodologies that promote meaningful inclusion and integration.

The programme will be highly interactive and participant-led, creating space for collaboration, peer learning, and co-creation. Through workshops, case discussions, and facilitated dialogues, participants will collectively explore what inclusive integration looks like in practice and how youth work can continue to evolve to meet the needs of marginalised young people across Europe.

Target Audience: This training is intended for youth practitioners who work regularly with young people aged 12–24 years, as well as professionals working in youth policy.

Please note that every participant must be registered with a sending organisation and a valid OID (Organisation ID) is required to attend.

Numbers: 25 participants

Objectives:

  • Examine current youth work policies and practices that support the integration of disabled young people, geographically isolated young people, and migrant youth across Europe.
  • Showcase innovative and evidence-informed methodologies that enhance inclusive integration within diverse youth work settings.
  • Create a collaborative space for practitioners and stakeholders to share experiences, exchange good practice, and co-develop approaches that address barriers to participation and inclusion.
  • Identify priorities and recommendations for strengthening inclusive youth work at local, national, and European levels, informing future policy, programming, and research.
