Training for Trainers - S.O.S Solutions is a training course what has been developed by ReCreativity Social Enterprise especially for people working in the field of non-formal education. The program will take place in Alsótold, Hungary between 10-18 June with 33 participants from 9 different countries: Spain, Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy, Romania and Hungary and is supported by the Erasmus+ programme. The main focus of the project is sustainability - both environmentally and concerning the the learning process as well. We created this program to support other trainers and NGOs to reduce their waste during their programs and to share the importance of sustainability in the area of non-formal education. We want to put the learning path in the focus - that is not finished when the program or the projects finishes but it can be carried on to create a change in the people's everyday life and they can have the chance to share the knowledge with the young people they are working with. The main aims of the project: - To learn and develop soft skills and to practice the set of competences of trainers - To acquire a deeper understanding of the basics and dynamics of learning to learn and non-formal education - To share best practices about sustainability - both personally and environmentally - To explore how to reduce the waste during the programs - to create an almost zero waste project where we do care about out environmental resources and still create a quality program - To promote sustainability in lifelong learning - to explore how we can ensure to sustain the learning process of participants - To learn about extending learning paths of participants and how to ensure that the newly learnt skills and methods became part of their everyday life - To promote creativity in youth work by implementing new methods in education - To promote dissemination and follow up activities among NGO leaders Methodology: During the project we are going to use a diverse set of methods and approaches. The program is based on techniques and methods of sustainable development - both environmentally and learning wise. Our method is a combination of non-formal learning methods and creative recycling where the focus is on doing actions and the evaluation of results. The process of creation individually and in a group context, while discovering one’s own resources, is a great tool to support sustainable learning and to encourage young people to take initiatives. The program contains a diversity of program elements - practical workshops, plenaries, simulation games, creative recycling, sharings, outdoor activities, NLP, coaching and mentoring, evaluation processes. It also gives the space for the participants to put into action what they have learnt already during the program. Participants' Profile: The training is open for trainers, mentors, youth workers, members and founders of NGOs, who are interested in sustainability from the practical side and are willing to promote it among their organisations or institutions. We are especially looking for youth workers who wish to work in the social area, or are already working there and are ready to make the first steps to realise a sustainable workplace and promote this way of living among youngsters. The training is focusing on groups of trainers and youth workers who are already giving workshops, trainings, organising local or international programs, where they use non-formal educational methods or starting a social enterprise/NGO, or managing one already. ReCreativity is a social enterprise based in Budapest, Hungary. During our activities we use the tool of creative recycling, in order that young people can build creative solutions in their everyday life while acquiring environmental awareness. ReCreativity is a group of enthusiastic young people started it’s course in 2011 when the first youth program took place and since then we organised creative workshops, youth exchanges and training courses in and out of Hungary. In 2013 we established our social enterprise and started to develop our method (non-formal learning combined with creative recycling), and building on the feedbacks and experiences it became a complex method/tool used for different purposes and for different target groups.
