Training course “Training for trainers on youth participation”, 5-14 May 2015, Ukraine. The main aim of the project is to strengthen youth participation through improving young leaders and youth workers competences in non-formal education methods.
ATTENTION: Working language is Russian only! Young workers will improve their professional skills of holding and facilitating non-formal educational events; increase youth participation through non-formal education; become more integrated (young people with fewer opportunities); strengthen their non-governmental organizations potential; share good practices of youth activities among young leaders and youth workers of different countries. 24 youth workers and young leaders from 6 different countries (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Armenia, Ukraine and Georgia will participate in the project. Training course will last 9 days. The training course activities are based on the principals of non-formal education, and include a variety of methods, which will lead to social and personal development of young people involved in the project. Young people will discuss not only theoretical concepts of those topics but exchange their practical experience in it. During the workshops youth will gain competences how to prepare and hold educational events in non-formal method on youth participation. Young people will adopt non-formal exercises to their realities and will try their trainer’s skills in groups. The main result of the training course will be knowledge and understanding of youth participation and skills in non-formal education of the participants. That will help them to hold their own educational sessions on youth participation after returning back home to their NGOs. More detailed information is attached.

DOMGO “MIKS” was established in 2010 by the group of social active young people of Dnipropetrovsk region. Young people were united by common need to diverse types of youth activities in their area. The main aim of organization is to activate young people in region and support them to participate in local community life.
Now DOMGO “MIKS” works with youth between 18-25. We organize different educational activities in non-formal format regularly. They are training courses, seminars and internships in human rights, youth participation, youth employment and creativity.
We organize educational events for local youth on regular basis. Our main topics are self-development, leadership, time planning, self evaluation.

Costs

Financial Conditions: - The board and lodging during the activity for all participants will be provided by organisers, - 70 % of travel costs of participants will be covered by organizers, - Participation fee is 30 Euro.
