This training course will focus on the issue of use new technologies for youngsters. It will train youth leader and youth workers about the risks of new media and social network.
The project "Technological Youth Work" starts by the need to inform and educate young people youth workers to a conscious use of the Internet and new technologies for themselves and for the young people directly involved in their organizations. In an increasingly connected, especially at the youth level, there are daily confronted with high risks and a number of problems related to online life of young people, above all we must act in the protection of children and young people by preventing any form of risk associated with the knowledge dark or deviant behavior that may result from improper use of the new means of communication; families often unaware of what their children are doing online, youth who must protect the children involved in youth organizations, organizations that require online visibility to improve the impact of their projects and the visibility of their initiatives: these are the target that we want to engage. In fact our project stems from the need to train, indirectly, both young, both animators, to the responsible use of new media, and through a strong impact to inform the families, teachers, principals education of young people in relation to technical and measures to be taken when it comes to life online. The methodology used by the project work focuses on non-formal and peer-education, the exchange of best practices, collaboration and cooperation among peers, the involvement of young professionals in the field of technology, marketing, psychology, social inclusion of people with disabilities to enrich the cultural background of the participants. You have chosen to involve youth workers from partner countries in order to improve the impact that seminar can have on organizations at all levels, families and young people themselves operating in the area. The desire to influence to cancel the gap between "digital grandparents' and young people connected is one of the main objectives of the project" Technological Youth Work ", improving the conditions of social inclusion and visibility of organizations and improve the impact of the Erasmus+ program on all reality directly and indirectly involved. The organisation called "Elios" works in Acireale (Sicily) since 2007 and over the years has accumulated a good experience in the field of youth, volunteering, sports, university life and active citizenship, use of new technologies and training about safer internet use for youngsters and youth workers.

In 2011 it realized a project called "Reverse Flow - From nomadic entrepreneurs of their own labor in the future" in the field of youth unemployment and fighting against "brain drain" and the creation of new businesses ideas for young people, the project was funded by the Italian Ministry of Youth.

In the field of European projects, the organization has coordinated several European projects in the field of structured dialogue between young people and policy makers.
Members of organization have a good experiences also in international activities like Youth Exchange and Training Course.
Since 2010 some members of organization work with youth initiatives projects (1.2 action of Youth In Action Program) with activities against drugs, against gambling, for the social inclusion of foreigners and youth unemployment.

The association is also active in the field of new technologies and the use of the Internet safe for young people.
The association, at the moment, has about 40 active young people in the implementation of the initiatives.

Our core business is to attract young people to an active social life, the development of non-formal education, promoting the ideology of youth, encouraging young people to self-development and self-improvement, cooperation with young people from different countries to create opportunities for youth participation in global processes and pan-European democracy, the development of civil society, involving young people in volunteer projects, the development of cultural interaction.

The main activity of our organization is currently conducting seminars, workshops, round tables, meetings with local authorities, organization of exhibitions. In addition, we want to implement international projects such as international trade and international education and cultural projects.

Costs

Travel costs will be reimbursed by Associazione Elios. Albania, Greece, Serbia, Ukraine: 275€ per participant. Armenia, Estonia, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, Turkey: 360€ per participant. The participants will be hosted in an hotel with 3meals per day from 12 to 18 November 2015: all of the hosting costs will be provided by Associazione Elios. We will ask for a participation fee of 20€ per participant. Visa costs will be covered by the Erasmus+ program.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
