Regional training / E-learning on Smart Villages for CSO representatives from Eastern Partnership Countries 

ABCD Innovation Center will organize 3 full day online trainings on Smart Villages on November 21st, 22nd and 28th, 2020 (participants must choose one date) and offline training in 2021 (the dates will be confirmed in the spring of 2021 when the COVID-19 situation gets better). 
Currently, ABCD Innovation Center is looking for participants for the full day online training course. The online training participants will be also invited to the offline training which will be organized in 2021.  

About
The training course aims at developing the participants’ competences on Smart Villages concept.
A smart village knows about its citizens, available resources, applicable services, and schemes. It knows what it needs and when it needs it. Smart village initiative focuses on improved resource-use efficiency, empowered local self-governance, access to assured basic amenities and responsible individual and community behavior to build a vibrant and happy society.
The driving motivation behind the concept of “Smart Village” is that the technology should acts as a means for development, enabling education and local business opportunities, improving health and welfare, enhancing democratic engagement and overall enhancement of rural village dwellers.

The training will cover the following topics:

Digital and Social Innovation in Rural Services 
 Multi-service hubs in communities
 Health and care
 Education and training
 Mobility and logistics
 Energy
 Digital ecosystems
Harnessing social innovation

 Revitalizing rural services through social innovation
 Climate action as a driver for innovation
 Barriers to community-led innovation
 An enabling framework


Who can attend?
This program can be attended by Civil Society Organisations' representatives, members and volunteers from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus who are dealing with youth and community development issues and who are interested to work in the field of Smart Villages

This online training course will be organized within the “Smart eco-social villages for rural transformation”  project funded by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
