ProjectoMayonaise³ - Dynamise Street Life
Training course on streetwork. How to dynamise street life by using creative and interactive tools.
ProjectoMayonaise³ is organising this training course for youth workers / trainers (professionals or volunteers) in order to explore and experiment on creative street tools in youth work. How can we in our daily work activate and empower (young) people and strengthen the dialogue between people by animated/creative interventions in daily public life?
We aim to work all together during the week and to get as one of the outcomes a bundle of exercises, methods, and tools to use in working with young people.
According to us, the street is the most important tool you can find in a city (by street we mean all public places). The street is a place where people meet, learn, talk ... It's a stairway to Europe and the rest of the world, a place for dialogue. Most of the time we forget about this, the street becomes just a thing to go from one point to another. Things like “we have to keep the youngsters off the street” give us some pain in the heart. Don't keep the youngsters off the street, but change and bring the street to the people. Active street(corner) work will be the tool for the future. During this training we will learn, share, invent new creative tools to dynamise street life. In a perfect world, we want to create an invisible “street market”, where everyone can do their thing on the street, where people talk. An intercultural (not multicultural) street. The street has to become again a place for dialogue between people, a creative space for everyone.
