Partnership Building Event: Together for a stronger Erasmus+

Partnership-building Activity

20 April 2024 | Remote (via Zoom), Spain

Whether you are a newcomer, an experienced organisation, an organisation with a lot of exposure to Erasmus events or an organisation with none at all, a good network is important and we would love to meet you!

At Yellow vs. Blue, we have been interacting and engaging with members of the community through face-to-face and virtual programmes since our founding in 2020. Over the years we have run global art therapy workshops, film programmes, wellbeing workshops, produced short films, and ran coaching sessions and human theatre workshops for young people both virtually and in person. The online programmes allow us to engage with participants on a global and more sustainable level. The online workshops and programmes we run provide a safe space for participants to share their mental health experiences and create together through exercises such as art, vocal meditation, journaling and filmmaking. We value and are inspired by the connection to a global community, which is why we strive to run more programmes that encourage deeper social interaction between participants.

In June 2024, our Art of Change seminar will take place in Utoya, Norway. The launch of this project is specifically designed to address the prevalent mental health issues among youth through different artistic methods, in recent challenging times. It is envisaged that this project will benefit both the local and global community by raising awareness and recognition of mental health issues, inspiring global action and creating a network of young advocates committed to promoting mental health initiatives to bring about positive change and help build a stronger, more resilient climate where well-being and human rights are prioritised.

Over the next five years, our programme aims to expand its reach and impact by developing and offering training programmes to more communities. With the help and collaboration of Erasmus+ in particular, we plan to deliver the programme both locally and globally, building long-term partnerships with organisations working on related issues and mental health. We aim to create sustainable funding streams to support the programme's activities and outreach. We are constantly improving the scalability and replicability of our model, and we continually evaluate and refine our approach based on feedback and outcome data from participants and partners. Working more closely with and learning from like-minded partners will be an essential part of our approach.

Join us on Saturday the 20th of April at 12 pm (Spain time). We will provide participants with a Zoom link before the event.

Yellow vs. Blue (Youth NGO)

Yellow vs. Blue is an artistic non-profit organisation registered in Valencia, Spain and in the UK, was established in response to the escalating rates of mental health problems and suicide among teenagers and young adults. Statistics show that approximately 10-20% of young people struggle with mental health issues, with suicide being the second leading cause of severe struggles among people aged 15-29. The onset of depression and anxiety during adolescence affects millions of young people worldwide. Unfortunately, a large proportion of young people do not have access to adequate mental health services, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, where over 75% of young people receive no treatment at all. Yellow vs Blue aims to provide a platform for young people with promising artistic and creative approaches to tackle mental struggles globally.
