A Study Visit on the continuum of mental health and mental ill health & Youth. The studyvisit is for youth workers to network, to share good practices/experiences and to inspire for national and international youth projects.

Objectives:

  • Built youth workers competences around the continuum of mental health and mental ill health for youth workers
  • Showcase examples of different practices on local and national level  in Ireland
  • Sharing practices amongst participants on local realities
  • Support networking opportunities for future cooperation
  • Provide support project development in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps

This study visit is organised by four National Agencies: NA Belgium-FL, NA Ireland,  NA Belgium-FR and NA UK.

The study visit exists of 3 phases:

1/ National preparation by each National Agency where the participants will get to know each other on local level and will be informed on the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Youth in Action programme and the European Solidarity Corps and on the support offered by the NA.

2/ Study visit to Ireland, Dublin in September 2019

3/ Follow-up phase on national level by the NA: support in project development, offer other (international) training opportunities,…

These three phases allows the study visit to fully focus on sharing good practices, getting inspiration and creating new ideas on how youth work can play a role on mental health issues that youngsts are facing in our current society.

The study visit will not be directly focused on writing new project proposals, but will allow partner finding and developing first project ideas.

Target Group:

Youth workers and leaders who daily work with young people with mental health issues in both mainstream and specialised organisations,

Youth workers willing to develop their skill set in the field of mental health,

Youth workers new/experienced to the European Youth programmes and mental health topics
