The Training Course "Learn, Involve,Lead" aims at helping participants to identify key personal characteristics and qualities and explore aspects of effective leadership both in their personal life and in their youth organisations.
The Training Course "Learn, Involve,Lead" aims at helping participants to identify key personal characteristics and qualities and explore aspects of effective leadership both in their personal life and in their youth organisations . By being active in their organisations to influence the society, to act for a change and to create new opportunities for themselves and their peers.The training course will take place in Yerevan,Armenia and will last 7 days (excluding travel days) from 09-17 March 2014. The Training Course will involve 24 participants from Armenia,Georgia, Ukraine,Moldova, Turkey,Italy,Spain, Romania (3 participants from each country). The purpose of this training course is to empower youth leaders and youth workers with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to be leaders, to influence the society and to strengthen the co-operation between European NGOs and develop future activities. The TC also aims at developing the sense of active citizenship and to enable young people to take part in further developments and decision making processes both in their own life and life of their society. By developing the leadership skills and competences the young people will be able to increase chances of employability,since the unemployment is a growing threat for young people all over Europe and it creates poverty and exclusion thus affecting the life of society. The training course will combine the principles of non-formal education and experiential approach based on participants’ needs, motivations and experiences by using intercultural learning methods and tools such as games and exercises, group presentations, workshops, debates, role plays, forum theatre, open space,outdoor activities and team building.

Costs

70 % of travel costs will be covered with the support of Youth in Action program. Accommodation and food will be provided.
