Irish – Dutch Study Visit European Solidarity Corps

Study Visit

5-8 February 2020 | Netherlands

Aims of the meeting are to share and visit good practises, to improve quality of both volunteering and jobs and traineeships, and to build a stronger national and international network of organisations and National Agencies.

A three day study visit for accredited organisations working with the European Solidarity Corps for volunteering and/or jobs and traineeships. Aims of the meeting are to share and visit good practises, to improve quality of both volunteering and jobs and traineeships, and to build a stronger national and international network of organisations and National Agencies. Part of the study visit is a national prep meeting before the international visit and a national follow-up meeting afterwards.
Thematic focus will be on the topics Solidarity, and Impact of our projects
The study visit itself starts at 17 pm on Wednesday the 5th of February , and ends at Saturday the 8th of February after breakfast.

Who:
The visit is open for eight Irish organisations and eight Dutch organisations with a valid Quality Label and relevant experience. From each National Agency a programme officer is taking part as well.

What do you learn:
Networking and sharing your experiences as a youth worker, volunteering coordinator, and/or mentor helps to improve the quality of your international youth work activities. This visit, including a national prep meeting before and follow-up meeting, supports the building of both a national and international very relevant and inspiring network that lasts longer than the visit only. Learning from each other, getting inspired and know who your partners are, is supporting your daily youth work practise. The Netherlands and Ireland have a lot in common if you look at the way of working in the field of youth work. This makes this study visit even more relevant for participants.
As the group is small there will be enough space to step into the individual learning needs of each organisation to get the most out of it.
A returning study visit to Ireland is planned for Autumn 2020
