Training Course

5-13 June 2023 | Tauchen / Mönichkirchen, Austria

Acting, role play, engaging in YOUR stories, emphathy, listening, speaking, learning, showing, hiding, understanding. This project will train acting, both for personal development and for enhancing ones own work with youth.

This training course will be based on non-formal principles, which means the trainers offer workshops based on their experience as professional actors and educators.

We will listen to your needs and design a programme that will allow you to find your learning goals within the frame work of acting, creativity and community building.

The title of this training course refers to the idea, that we will play each others stories. Fictional or biographical will be up to you. By doing so we will listen, reflect understand practice and finally perform.

Invited are youth workers, innitiators, community builders, social workers, teachers, entrepreneurs, everyone somehow working in the field of youth. It will be 30 people from 10 different countries. 

The Trainers:

Jihad Al-Khateeb
Jihad Al-khatib is a theater and film actor. He studied acting at the Drama Academy in Ramallah, which cooperates with the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany. Jihad Al-khatib has worked on short films and plays in Palestine, Italy, Germany and Austria and has conducted theater workshops for children in Palestine and Austria

Sonja Presich
Already during her school years, Sonja began making her first short films. Afterwards, she studied film in Hamburg from 2012 to 2017. Since 2018, she has been intensely dedicated to the art of acting and learned the Sanford Meisner and Michael Chekhov method in San Francisco and Berlin. Currently, Sonja lives in Vienna and Southern Germany, where she works as an actress and yoga teacher. "I love using my body as a temple and playful tool to express myself. Acting is the most natural and honest form of self-healing in my life. Sharing this resource with other people is a great enrichment for me."

Costs

Participation fee

A participation fee of 30 EUR will be collected. 

Accommodation and food

All costs including trainer fees, material, accommodation and food will be covered.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a specific amount, depending on how far your depature location is away from the venue. The following maximum reimbursements apply:

Austria: max. 23 EUR; Russia: 275 EUR; Armenia: 360 EUR, Azerbaijan: 360 EUR; Portugal: 360 EUR; Spain: 275 EUR; Hungary: 180 EUR; Jordan: 360 EUR; Poland: 275 EUR; Palestine: 360 EUR
