FROM MULTICULTURAL TO INTERCULTURAL COMMUNITIES

Seminar

22-26 May 2006 | Brasov, Transylvania, Romania

The international seminar FROM MULTICULTURAL TO INTERCULTURAL COMMUNITIES will take place in the framework of the new "All Different – All Equal": European Youth Campaign for Diversity, Human Rights, and Participation of the Council of Europe.
GOAL The main goal is to develop educational resources from different multicultural and intercultural experiences and points of view of youth organisations for the peaceful transformation of conflicts in South-East Europe. OBJECTIVES - to identify and to understand conflict management concepts; - to exchange different experiences regarding conflict situations or contexts from different types of communities; - to stimulate youth organisations to actively involve in issues of conflict management in their own community; - to set the basis for a long-term and established co-operation between the participating organisations. The seminar will use a variety of methods, including: group discussions, plenary sessions, simulation games and role-plays, workshops, and guest speakers. The process will focus on non-formal education and intercultural learning.
