Study Visit

5-11 April 2014 | Struga, Bitola, Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia

Study Visit for leaders, project managers, youth workers on the following topics: Leadership, Management, European Citizenship for sharing experience, gaining ideas for improvement and development of their work/organisation.
The Study visit "EUROPEANS - Different but similar" will be implemented from 5th to 11th of April 2014 in three cities in Macedonia (Skopje, Struga and Bitola) and will gather project managers, youth workers, coordinators, supervisors, presidents, vice-presidents of NGO sector to meet with people from same field of their work in order to get some more ideas concerning improvement of their work, approach, human resource management, facing with differences and similarities between the NGO's. The participants will have the opportunity to meet successful decision makers from the NGO but also from the business sector, where on those meetings they will have the opportunity to realize their differences and similarities as EUROPEAN citizens and, facing the facts, positive and negative sides of working in EU/outside of EU. The aim of this project is to show to all actors good examples of leadership, to give them as well ideas for improvement of their work and team, in order to have quality projects and quality prepared participants/youth workers/volunteers. The project will gather 27 participants from Germany, Macedonia, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Russian Federation and Poland.

Volunteer Center Bitola is a Non-profit Non-governmental organisation established in 2010 by ex-EVS volunteers. The main goal of Volunteer Center Bitola is to give non-formal educational possibilities to the young people, in different fields, on local and international level; to promote the idea of volunteerism and to connect young people without reference to their nationality, religion, political, economical or social status. Our staff workers are representing different professional fields: communication including journalism and public relations, languages, youth work and psychology. Most of the staff workers have personal experience of being EVS volunteers. In previous years our members participated on several Training Courses and Youth Exchanges under the YiA Programme.

Costs

This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, 3 meals per day, visa, and 70% of travel costs) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by EACEA.
