Empathy Matters: Embodying Nonviolent Communication

8-day-training course that offers space for learning and practising Nonviolent Communication (NVC) which is a powerful tool for understanding ourselves and others, building empathy and resolving conflicts.

Nonviolent communication is based on the work of the American psychologist Marshall Rosenberg. It has been described as a language of compassion that allows us to deepen our connection with ourselves and others. NVC can improve the way we communicate, increase the empathy and help us to create more meaningful and authentic relationships.

OBJECTIVES: 

-  Promote empathy as an important factor of youth development 

- Introduce the model of Non Violent Communication and provide tools for practising the method 

- Improve communication skills of youth workers that can enhance empathic connections with youngsters;

- Provide tools for raising emotional awareness and well-being through methods inspired by Mindfulness, Somatic Movement Education and Contact Improvisation;

Accommodation and food

The accommodation, food and training materials are covered. 

Travel reimbursement

Eligible travel costs up to the limits set by Erasmus+ will be reimbursed upon receipt of all relevant documentation. All details will be supplied prior to the course.  

The maximum costs per country: 

Spain, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia  - 250€

Portugal - 335 €
