Build it up! Youth work development

This training course will help youth workers to develop their team-management and team-building competences. We want to bring together both experienced and unexperienced youth worker that are motivated and willing to learn. The aim with this TC is to provide the opportunity for youth workers to develop their competences in a safe environment where they can learn by doing.

Our project objectives are:

1. Improve participants’ competences in better understanding the different stages of forming a team, conflict management and communication within a team of young people.

2. Teaching participants various non-formal methods: team building, trust building, conflict management, etc.

3. Improving participants confidence in their skills to manage and coordinate a team.

This project is mainly addressed to:

Youth workers that are currently working with young people;

Youth workers that are new in the youth field but are actively volunteering in an organization;

Trainers who work with young people and want to improve their team-management/team-building competences;

Teachers involved in extracurricular activities;

Volunteers in non-profit organizations.

Age limit: over 18, no upper age limit

The project will be facilitated by trainers with more than 5 years experience in Erasmus+. 

Participants in this training course will learn how to:

• Understand the team building processes: how the team forms, how to communicate within the team and how to make the team trust each other;
• Strengthen a team with non-formal methods;
• Manage the different types of personalities inside a group;
• Apply conflict management tools;
• Keep young people motivated;
• Delegate tasks;
• Keep young people motivated.
