"Bridge for Mind and Nature" is an international training for youth workers that aims to improve and enhance their ability to empower their social inclusion through mindfulness and nature-based practices and methodologies.

"Bridge for Mind and Nature" is an international training for youth workers that aims to improve their ability to empower and enhance their social inclusion through mindfulness and nature-based practices and methodologies. The specific methodologies, which will be used, are storytelling, poetry, ecological collage, botanical art and embodiment practices.

The training course will bring together 24 participants from: Romania, Italy, Spain, Greece, Estonia, Poland, Sweden and Hungary.

“Bridge for Mind and Nature” is an invitation for you:

  • to explore your inner Nature (your body, beliefs, inner resources, gifts, creativity, dreams, visions, longings, visions, purpose)
  • to dialogue with the outer Nature (other beings, its realms, its wisdom, the outer resources, the qualities)
  • to connect deeply and authentically with the Others (authentic relating, deep listening, mirroring, mentoring, sharing circles)
  • to bridge these discoveries experiencing the interconnectedness with ourselves, others, the Earth.

The learning process is planned for stimulating and developing the four human dimensions: the physical, the mental, the emotional and the spiritual.

This 6-day intensive training is part of an Erasmus+ project, Erasmus+ is a Programme coordinated by the European Commission of the European Union.

The European Union's Erasmus+ programme is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport.

The participants profile

  • Human workers, youth workers, trainers, educators, NGO leaders and workers who are willing to explore and develop themselves and after that to resourcefully inspire their community in a nurturing and generating life enhancing way.
  • The participants must be over 18 years and have a good level of English.
  • Participants can apply to this training if they a legal residency in Romania, Italy, Spain, Greece, Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Hungary.

Participants will receive the Youthpass at the of the training course.

The guiding trainers

Sandra Horea, Sandra is a human development guide and mentor who creatively and heart-fully invites people to be in intimate and meaningful conversations with their Soul. She calls humans to fall in love with nature, metaphor, symbol, feeling and therefore with themselves and live their bigger lives delivering their gift to the hungry world. As a guide, she creates purposeful spaces of self-discovery incorporating in her work her experience regarding depth psychology and soul-based practices, eco-centric development, embodiment, storytelling, poetry and deep imagination. She has a wide experience of 10 years in working with youth and adults in facilitating spaces of personal and community transformation. At the moment she is studying within Animas Valley Institute from USA and graduated the Wild Mind Program.

Eleni Kardamitsi, Eleni Kardamitsi is an experienced trainer and educator with more than 20 years of experience working with teams of young people in Athens. She believes in the power of people coming together towards social change. Since 2012, she has coached 200 local events and 30 youth initiatives. Nature-based activities and connection to nature in urban frameworks is part of her traditional youth activities. She is co-author of the book: “Mindfulness and Nature: a toolkit for youthwork” realized during the project KA2 “Mind your Mind: Synergies between mindfulness and naturebased methods”. Creativity and upcycling is her passion.

Sara Marzo, Sara Marzo is a trainer and facilitator from Italy guiding individuals and groups to become more conscious human beings and to connect authentically to themselves, to others and to nature, in order to engage in meaningful actions in their lives and to better impact our planet Earth. She has more than 10 years of experience in international projects management and youth work. In her work she brings the expertise in mindfulness, eco-somatic practices, ecopsychology and nature- based methods. She is attending the Nature Coaching Academy in Italy to become Naure Ambassador. She is co-author of the book: “Mindfulness and Nature: a toolkit for youthwork” realized during the project KA2 “Mind your Mind: Synergies between mindfulness and nature-based methods”.

Costs

Participation fee

We are inviting you to contribute to VulcanicaMente's future local projects by making a donation from 50 to 100 Euros based on personal financial possibilities. The donation is not compulsory but recommended.

Accommodation and food

Materials, activities, accommodation and food are 100% covered by the Erasmus+ grant.

Travel reimbursement

Romania, Greece, Poland. Spain, Hungary 320 par person (Green Travel)

Estonia, Sweden 410 par person (Green Travel)

Italy 23 (Green Travel)

Green travel: means of transportation with lower carbon footprint, such as trains, buses, carpooling. Green travelling may take longer, but is a necessary action in order to fight climate change.
In case it is not possible, the budget will be reduced to normal. 275 instead of 320, 360 instead of 410.

 

Participants are required to keep all invoices, receipts and boarding passes as proof and justification of costs.

If you plan to arrive earlier or leave later (maximum 2 days) your expenses for accommodation out of the days of the training will not be covered by the project.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
