This project is focusing on developing competencies for Human Rights Education Multipliers among youth workers by equip them with adequate knowledge, attitudes and skills for developing and implementing Human Rights Education with various target groups.
The main goal of the project is to develop multiplying competencies among youth workers to contribute to prepare, deliver and evaluate Human Rights Education activities for youth in relation with various Human Rights problematic situations that they might experience in their own communities. More specific objectives are: • To increase their knowledge and awareness level in topics like :Human Rights (values, principles, study cases), Human Rights Education (methods and results), social exclusion, intercultural dialogue, tolerance; • Create pro-active attitudes towards Human Rights ; • Develop practical competencies in Non Formal Education-specifically in Human Rights Education methods; • To enable the participants to act as Human Rights Education multipliers in the benefit of young people affected by Human Rights violations; • To understand and promote the value of volunteering; • To develop and activate their creative potential through Non Formal Education; The training will have a high level of practical approach, based on experiential learning and it will aim at empowering the participants of acting as human rights multipliers in their communities. Target group and criteria - Youth workers, coordinators, leaders, active volunteers, facilitators, trainers, etc) - Interest and Motivation to work in Human Rights Education field - Previous facilitation experience (in non-formal education field) - not compulsory! - All participants should have an English level of at least medium level (to be able to participate in discussions and in training activities) - They should have the support of their sending organization and a platform where they could act as human rights multipliers. - should be resident of one of following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Latvia, Estonia, Greece , Italy , Romania, Slovenia *(Important Note: applications from people residents in other countries (regardless if they are nationals/citizens of the countries mentioned before will not be accepted)

Costs

This project is funded by the Youth in Action Program. According to its rules, all costs of board and logging will be covered by the organizers. In addition, the organizers are going to reimburse 70% of the participants’ travel costs, upon the receipt of all original tickets and invoices.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
