AHEAD for Convivència. Developing dialogue between Rroma and Non-Rroma Young People

Training Course

30 October - 6 November 2010 | CATALONIA, Spain

Ahead for Convivència aims to support the development of youth activities combating mistrust and social exclusion by developing competences in organising youth activities bringing together Rroma and non Rroma communities working for social cohesion
Recent years have seen the increase of populist and far right movements that propose “easy” solutions in crisis times by using scape goats. Rroma communities around Europe are, once more, used as culprits. This message seems to be taking root as well among other political parties, media and society in general. In order to create spaces of encounter to combat mistrust among Rroma and Non-Rroma communities around Europe, Ahead in co-operation with partners from other five European countries launch its first initiative to bridge dialogue gaps between youth leaders and educators from both communities.
