European Conference ‘Youth for Human Rights’

Conference – Symposium - Forum

28-30 October 2019 | Tallinn, Estonia

The Estonian National Agency for Erasmus+ invites you to participate in the European Conference ‘Youth for Human Rights’ which will takes place in Tallinn, Estonia on October 29th-30th, 2019. The date of arrivals is on October 28th, there is reception.

Recently Human Rights and Human Rights Education (HRE) in the youth field have been gaining importance in European political agendas, also as reaction to the raise of populist anti-Human Rights discourse.

Our aim is to bring together HRE experts, youth workers, trainers, and many more stakeholders from Erasmus+ National Agencies (NA’s), local and European institutions and NGOs and engage them in meaningful and productive discussions on mainstreaming Human Rights Education in youth work.

The results of the Conference will be conveyed as policy recommendations to responsible bodies of the Erasmus+ programme and further be taken on board in youth policy developments.

We would hereby like to invite you to participate and contribute to the Conference aiming to:

- Share experiences regarding the state of human rights education in youth work today

- Present findings from 'Youth for Human Rights' project

- Create a cross-sectoral commitment plan for mainstreaming HRE in youth work

The conference is the final event of the Erasmus+ Key Action 3 project 'Youth for Human Rights (YfHR)' (2016-2019).

The profiles of the participants should be selected amongst representatives of organisations dealing with either youth work or human rights education, and in capacity of youth policy or educational policy making.

The matching profiles include:

Youth workers; Local, regional and national authorities; Representatives of universities and institutions formally preparing youth workers; Youth trainers; Youth networks; NGOs dealing with human rights education; Other National and European youth NGOs; Experts on Human Rights and youth policies
