Inspirational Event - creating societies of well-being through community building

JINT vzw is looking for

1 project coordinator

Application deadline:

5 July, 23:59

Description

The Strategic National Agency Cooperations (SNACs) Mental Health in Youth Work, Strategic Partnership for Inclusion, Volunteering and YouSports are looking for a project coordinator to organise the inspirational event.

The event in a nutshell

Why

Youth work and volunteering are powerful forces for resilient, democratic societies. They help young people build skills, confidence, values, attitudes, and a sense of belonging—shifting communities from division to connection and from apathy to participation. Yet no single actor sees the full picture alone: expertise is not owned but shared. This conference brings together the fields of mental health, inclusion, volunteering, and social sports, drawing on the work of four SNACs as the current European Youth Programmes cycle concludes. Grounded in give-and-take, it will be centred around young people’s voices and needs. It will unite practitioner, institutional, and youth perspectives to harvest impactful practices and advance societies of well-being.

What

We will create a space…

  • to share practices, methods and tools on inclusion, mental health, volunteering, and sports.
  • to learn about projects on inclusion, mental health, volunteering and sports in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.
  • to strengthen learning between the fields of inclusion, mental health, volunteering and sports.

How

The conference uses Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps Programmes as tools for recognition of youth work, social sports, well-being, inclusion, volunteering, and community building. It aims to showcase the impact these programmes have had on the topics addressed by National Agencies and other stakeholders, both through relevant data and knowledge and through concrete good practice examples.

The voices of the young people are central. The event will be co-created with young people from different corners of Europe. We will build on the co-creation expertise as used in the Mental Health SNAC’s Inspirational Events (2023 and 2025), making sure their voices, experiences and needs are at the centre of the learning process of practitioners. Because of this approach, we cannot yet define 100% how and what the conference will be about.

Who, where and when

  • This conference is for practitioners, youth workers and youngsters representing an organisation or informal group that focuses on inclusion, mental health, volunteering or sports and having experience in the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps programmes. We aim to bring together 150 participants for 2.5 working days.
  • The conference will be hosted by JINT vzw in Q3 of 2027 (dates to be decided).
  • The conference will be prepared and co-created with young people through co-creation labs.

If you want to read more about the conference, please read the concept note (downloads).

About your role

As project manager you will be responsible to organise the inspirational event in Autumn 2027. This means that you will:

  • Drive the overall process and ensure coherence and connection between all work strands.
  • Maintain the general overview and coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure that the vision, objectives and youth–centred approach remain visible through whole process
  • Lead and support the different teams involved in the conference preparation.
  • Take care of the logistical organisation in cooperation with the host.

You will be supported in your role by the SNACs’ representatives and the host. Together, you will form the prep team, which sets the strategic direction of the conference and oversees key decisions, including the overall timeline and the selection processes. The facilitators, the co-creation teams, and the NA contact points, together with the prep team, make up the working group. This working group is responsible for the conceptual development of the conference, with each actor contributing their own perspective and expertise to shape a coherent, meaningful, and youth-centred programme. The exact roles of the facilitators, co-creation team, and NA contact points will be defined by the project manager in consultation with the SNACs and hosts.

Course organisers

The Inspirational Event is organised by the SNACs Mental Health in Youth Work, The Strategic Partnership for Inclusion, Volunteering, and YouSports. SNACs are long‑term activities that respond to real needs identified by multiple National Agencies and stakeholders in the youth field. Their structured and coordinated approach ensures that knowledge is accumulated, shared, and applied effectively, leading to sustainable results and more efficient use of resources.
