Call for a Facilitator

Open Call for a facilitator for the online webinar thread: “Making Youth Participation Visible”  hosted by SALTO PI from April-June, 2020.

Description

SALTO Participation & Information Resource Centre (SALTO PI) is hosting a webinar thread “Making Youth Participation Visible” tackling topics like youth participation, communication, promotion and sustainability. This series includes four 2-hour webinars.

Youth action on climate change recently has made a substantial impact on the European political discourse. In November 2019, Climate Emergency has been declared by the European Parliament. In December 2019, the new European Commission announced the ambition of a European Green Deal.

Climate change and sustainability used to be traditionally a rather marginal topic for the youth sector at European level, but young people pointed in the direction also when formulating the European Youth Goals in 2018, agreeing on “Sustainable Green Europe” to be one of the 11 Goals and formulating seven ambitious targets to achieve the goal.

The initially planned topics for those webinars are:

  • "Participation & Information for A Sustainable Green Europe"
  • “Promoting youth participation”
  • “Participation & Information for A Sustainable Green Europe - best practices”
  • “Making Youth Participation Visible - with Youth Goals”

Some of the webinars are expected to be facilitated in interview style but in other cases we would like to make this decision together with the facilitator and speakers. We are looking for a motivated and qualified facilitator who is responsible for the facilitation and structure of the webinar series.

All the webinars will be recorded in order to present them on a web platform (not yet launched). This means that the structure should support being redigestable in a video format. We will also involve a live graphic recorder to support the visual aspect of the webinar and its recording.

  • 21 May, 2020
