A society for all, still a dream? Youth participation, E-participation, Intercultural dialogue and youth work

Description

The Italian National Agency, in cooperation with the NA of Cyprus, will organise a seminar within TCA2018 plan, named “A society for all, still a dream? Youth participation, E-participation, Intercultural dialogue and youth work”. Participation and its forms, contribution of the youth work to foster it are some of the main priorities for the Italian NA and for Erasmus+, as recommended in the Erasmus+ Guide.

The seminar aims at bringing together youth workers and youth leaders that are involved in projects of youth participation or about participatory processes. The expected learning outcomes include the necessary competencies and tools in order to work effectively with youth, empowering them to take initiative and hence, participate in the commons at local level.

The activity will enable participants to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes to successfully increase participation of young people and young migrants in the existing structures, spaces and mechanisms for participation in decision-making, increasing their sense of belonging.

This seminar aims at highlighting the main role of youth workers, youth organizations, youth leaders, at fostering their active participation and involvement in solving society’s issues, and at finding solutions and new path for giving an answer to young people (local youth, refugees, migrants) needs, especially at community level. That’s the point where youth dialogue and intercultural dialogue meet each other, especially in this time where participation has different contexts and ways of implementation, as for instance e-participation and digital citizenship.

The seminar will be held from 6th to 10th May 2019 in Cagliari - Italy.

A preparatory meeting is foreseen from 10th to 12 of April, city to be confirmed, probably Cagliari

Requested trainer profile

We are looking for 4 motivated and experienced professionals (trainers and facilitators) to participate in this activity, who are:

-            resident of one of the Erasmus+ Programme or Partner Countries;

-            trainers/facilitators with demonstrated experience of non-formal or formal education activities, youth work, youth participation, e-participation, or other areas that are related to the topic of our project;

-            experience as a trainer and/or facilitator of a Youth National Agency, preferably in a national or transnational cooperation activities (TCA) at least two activities;

-            The ability to contribute constructively to and assist in the preparation, running and evaluation of an activity (training course, seminar, study visit, conference or MOOC), based on non-formal education approach;

-            The ability to run each part of the activity (such as selected workshops, working groups, facilitation of events);

-            Knowledge about Erasmus+, the work of the National Agencies and SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres;

-            advanced level of English (understanding, speaking, writing).

Working conditions

The Italian National Agency will select four professionals, two permanently living in Italy and two coming from Programme or Partner Country.

The selected trainers, having applied to this public call, guarantee their presence to the entire duration of the activity, to the preparatory meeting and to the possible follow up working days.

The Italian National Agency applies the following fee for the trainers: 320 Euro per day as gross amount, with the consequent taxes reduction according to the Italian fiscal legislation which may vary on the basis of the trainer’s Country of residence.

Team composition

The 4 trainers will coperate with the Staff of IT NAs involved in TCA and Key Action 3

How to apply:

Interested candidates should apply by sending a letter of motivation and their CV listing all training/facilitation experiences of the applicant, as well as all information related to their experience in field of youth participation and e-democracy, enabling the organizing team to judge the relevance of the application. 

The Italian National Agency will select four candidates, two permanently living in Italy and two coming from Programme or Partner Country.
