List of support activities and open calls 2021-2022

There are several open calls at the moment, and more are opening, for activities where participants from Western Balkan Partner Countries can take part. Some of them are planned as on-line activities, others residentially. If you are interested, you are welcome to apply! 

In case of residential activities, given the uncertain situation depending on the Corona pandemic, travel tickets should only be obtained at short notice (in general two weeks before the activity takes place, upon notification from us). Please also check the Covid-19-related conditions currently in place for entering the hosting country and for returning to your home country after the activity.

27 January, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 3: Rethinking innovation - what kind of innovator are you? Would you like to take a moment to explore the concept of Innovation in youth work with colleagues from across Europe? In this webinar, we will look into individual competences that make a difference when teams want to create innovative projects. Registration is open until 25 January.
1 - 3 March 2022, Germany 2nd ETS Conference - The Quality Bonus The Quality Bonus Conference focuses on education and training of youth workers at national level. It identifies how to strengthen spaces for synergies, cooperation, and joint reflection on youth work at the European level using the EU Youth programmes. The call for participants is open until 17 January.
21 - 25 March 2022, Finland Youth@Work Study Visit - One-Stop Guidance Centers in Finland To strengthen the social inclusion of young people, to eradicate poverty among young people and to improve their employability and performance. The call for participants is open until 23 January.
4 April - 16 June, Belgium & Finland Go for Change! - Creating knowledge-based strategies through participatory action research and follow-up To support local youth work developers to improve the quality of local youth work by using participatory action-research tools and creating strong local strategies, in line with existing European practices and policies. The call for participants is open until 10 February.
POSTPONED TO 31 May - 3 June 2022, Slovenia European Academy on Youth Work The EAYW aims to be inclusive and participatory in its approach and to give a voice to contributions representing the diverse levels, environments and stakeholders in youth work. Furthermore, it promotes cross-sectorial and multi-perspective approaches involving youth work practice, research, and policy, which have proven vital to successfully address identified developments or challenges. Reflection based on different perspectives should help to identify responses to trends that could be taken up by different roles.

POSTPONED TO 2022, France Kick-off Event! - Strategic Cooperation with Neighbouring Partner Countries This meeting will offer you a space to explore and develop collaboration opportunities with neighbouring partner countries within the Erasmus+ and ESC programmes. The call for participants is closed.
POSTPONED TO 2022 From youth work to Youth@Work: The potential of youth work to boost young people's employability and entrepreneurship The seminar focuses on the role of youth work in contributing to the meaningful participation of young people in the world of work and improving their overall perspectives for personal and professional growth.

The activity is a part of the Strategic Partnership "Youth@Work" between the National Agencies and SALTOs.

18 - 21 January, ONLINE Key to Inclusion To support young people to get competences through non-formal learning and activities that promote solidarity. The programme also gives organisations the opportunity to actively engage and work with societal needs. Implemented.
18 - 20 January, ONLINE InnoCamp - develop your digital youth work services To contribute to the development of digital youth work in Europe by encouraging and helping youth organisations innovate their youth work services and add a digital dimension to them. InnoCamp is based on the Innobox toolkit developed by Verke and it provides a structured approach and support for (re)developing operations and creating something new. Implemented.
25 - 29 January, ONLINE Additional support in European Solidarity Corps To give to participants the opportunity to explore on how can they turn ESC projects into an effective tool for Inclusion focused on participation of young people with functional and mental diversity in ESC projects. Implemented.
26 January - 11 February, ONLINE Solidarity online: keep on training To bring together trainers that are interested to develop their competence to approach solidarity in their future online and offline events. Implemented.
26 January - 22 February 2021, ONLINE YOCOMO Systemic - an ETS MOOC on A Systemic Approach To Competence Development In Youth Work The course will offer inspiring lectures, animated videos, method demonstrations, practical tasks and development tools. This course is made for youth workers , but it’s free and open for anyone. Implemented.

12 - 17 April, ONLINE Star of Europe The Star of Europe training will take you through a youth exchange project from its very beginning to the very end, highlighting young people's involvement. You will also learn how to use the digital Star of Europe material in building the exchange. Implemented.
13 - 16 April, ONLINE Online training for ESC mentors (in French language) Over the years, the French Erasmus + National Agency has built a strong expertise in training EVS/ESC mentors. In 2021, two training sessions will be open to French-speaking ESC mentors or would-be mentors from other countries. Implemented.

24 May - 4 June, ONLINE Quality Label, Good practices Exchange To inspire practitioners to engage in the QL process and see it as a real opportunity to invest in the quality of their projects. This online training course will offer a space for good practices and further support for both newcomers and experienced organisations. Implemented.
25 May, ONLINE Flash SE+ssions: Creativity and Innovation in E+ and ESC - Creative Thinking and Problem Solving in Youth Work New situations require new solutions. The pandemic demanded new ways of working with young people and in this session, you will explore concrete tools to come up with these solutions and promote creative thinking in youth work. 5 - 20 October, ONLINE APPETISER (ONLINE) - An introduction on how to use Erasmus+ for international youth work To give a strong positive first experience of international youth work and motivate participants to use the Erasmus+ Programme and, to a certain extent, the European Solidarity Corps Programme. This aim summarises the entire idea of the training – to give a feeling, what it means to work with young people in an international setting. Implemented.
5 - 20 October, ONLINE Appetiser (online) - An introduction on how to use Erasmus+ for international youth work To give a strong positive first experience of international youth work and motivate participants to use the Erasmus+ Programme and, to a certain extent, the European Solidarity Corps Programme. 6 - 8 October, Poland European Forum of Young Leaders The activity will provide space for youth activists to share experiences, establish contacts and discuss important topics for young people across Europe. The main topics of this year's Forum will be inclusion and diversity, green Erasmus, digital Erasmus and active participation in democratic and social life. Implemented.
8 - 12 October, Spain Mental Health: invisible emergency. To give visibility to mental health in youth and developing a position that allows us to influence to start European strategies that can solve this problem. Implemented.
11 - 15 October, Norway BiTriMulti (BTM) - Multilateral Training Course for newcomers in youth exchanges To offer an international learning experience for those active in the youth work field, enabling them to develop their competences in setting up quality Youth Exchange projects, especially newcomers to this field. Implemented.

18 October, ONLINE Community Impact in Practice: Introducing the brand-new guide The Practical Guide that will be introduced during the online presentation aims to be hands-on, explaining some of the basics about community impact so that practitioners can benefit from working with this concept. 18 - 22 October, Germany YOCOMO - an ETS learning experience for youth workers: a systemic approach to competence development To look at the role of the whole system of interconnected players in your field (for example your organisation, young people, parents, schools, local community, etc.) on the development of your competences as a youth worker. Implemented.
26 - 30 October, Belgium - FL Quality Wave: Diving into Quality of Learning Mobility Seminar for Q! Ambassadors and friends To provide support for Quality! Learning Mobility projects in times of increased budget and more diverse learning environments (hybrid, blended, online) and empower Q! Ambassadors throughout Europe to adjust the EPLM Quality Tools and promote them in their countries. Implemented.
27 - 28 October, ONLINE Gender Training for Youth Workers: What's Gender Got to Do with It? To provide a basic understanding about contemporary gender issues, as well as provide clear links in between gender equality, human rights education and youth work. Also, the training aims to provide useful tools and methods for youth workers to discuss gender issues with the youth. This online training is going to focus on gender stereotypes, gender equality, gender identities and hate speech. Implemented.
28 October - 1 November, Spain Partnership Building Activity Youth Exchanges dealing with Environmental and Sustainable Development Issues The participants will know better the profile and the way of working of other organizations, to establish good contacts for future projects and to start to work on a real project to be presented in the following deadline. Implemented.
2 - 3 November, ONLINE Activating citizens - municipalities making use of the European Solidarity Corps To motivate and support municipalities to make use of the European Solidarity Corps Programme as a tool for social cohesion and solidarity. Implemented.
2 - 5 November, ONLINE Training for ESC mentors (in French language) Over the years, the French Erasmus+ National Agency has built a strong expertise in training EVS/ESC mentors. In April 2021, a first session was organized online to French-speaking ESC mentors or would-be mentors from other countries and it was a success. Implemented.
2 - 6 November, Turkey Youth@Work "International Symposium on Youth Employment Challenges" ISYEC - "Crossing the Bridge" - Special Edition To increase the cooperation opportunities for non-formal education and business sectors in Europe through designing innovative partnership and collaboration models. Implemented.
4 November, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 1: Innovation in Times of Disruption In the European Academy on Youth Work we want to support the professional development of youth workers and other professionals in youth work practice, policy and research, even in times of uncertainty, like the ones we are living today. For this reason, we are excited to invite you for a series of webinars we called Learning as a field in times of disruption and change.  Implemented.

8 - 13 November, Turkey Youth@Work "Social Entrepreneurship for Youth Employability - SEYE" To raise awareness of social entrepreneurship and its ecosystem in Europe through designing innovative business models. Implemented.
10 - 12 November, Iceland Empower inclusiv-ability To build competences among youth workers who would like to empower inclusive activities in their work with young people. One of the aims is to provide a concrete and practical tool for involving participation of young people with disabilities and health conditions. Implemented.
14 - 20 November, Spain FITA 6 - From Idea To Action 6 To empower the youth workers and youth leaders participating in the course to develop their competences promoting and supporting Youth Entrepreneurship in the social field. Implemented.
15 - 23 November, ONLINE Let's volunteer! - third phase To equip newcomers with information on implementing volunteering projects within the frame of European Solidarity Corps programme. Implemented.
19 November - 17 December, ONLINE Train the trainers: Inlining Online Process To equip participants with the necessary competences including knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours but also approaches, tools, and methods that are necessary to implement activities within Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps within an online and blended formats of learning. Implemented.
22 - 26 November, Hungary "Towards Collaborative Practice" (TCP) Study Visit on Social Entrepreneurship and Social Inclusion To reflect, network & learn about professional practices and ways in which social entrepreneurship and youth work can be developed. This study visit is a unique opportunity to discover more about being a social entrepreneur in Hungary and how youth work plays a role in it. Implemented.
22 - 28 November, Italy See Beyond - Training of Trainers on Youthpass To strengthen the quality of European youth projects by training trainers of youth workers on facilitating learning in European youth projects. Participants will focus on the learning dimension as an essential quality factor in European youth programmes and explore the role of Youthpass in supporting awareness of learning. Implemented.
23 - 24 November, ONLINE Youth@Work Online Seminar: Employment and entrepreneurship of young people with fewer opportunities - with the emphasis on women's entrepreneurship To raise awareness of employment and entrepreneurship among young people with fewer opportunities, to develop the skills and competences of youth workers in designing and implementing entrepreneurship ideas among people with fewer opportunities as innovative ways for tackling social problems, to equip them with appropriate tools and methods. Implemented.
29 November - 7 December, ONLINE Digital transformation of youth organizations To introduce youth organisations to the digital age and to train them to acquire their own digital footprint, which will have multiplier benefits in the impact of the Programme. Through the training, stakeholders will learn more about digital tools and good practices on how to have a more successful online presence. Implemented.
1 - 7 December, ONLINE A.C.T. for Democracy (Active Citizens Together for Democracy) To support active youth workers to comprehend contemporary democracy as a concept and as a practice, and how they could take an active role against radicalization, hate speech and manipulation by creating a safe space for learning and critical thinking for better understanding of their local realities, providing efficient tools and working educational approaches. 2 - 5 December, Montenegro Western Balkan Youth Participation Ideas Lab To explore concrete needs, challenges and potential of youth participation in the Western Balkan Partner Countries and seeks for creative ways to address them. Implemented.
6 - 12 December 2021, ONLINE TOSCA - online training and support for organisations active in the volunteering actions in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) To support and build up the capacities of organizations that actively participate in volunteering actions of the European Solidarity Corps, in order to ensure quality and impact in the respective projects. Implemented.
7 - 11 December, Turkey Conference: "On track 5 - Different youth work approaches for different NEET situations" To support collaboration and exchange between professionals from different sectors in order to create better opportunities for young people in a NEET situation and enable their active involvement in society and integration into the labour market. Implemented.
16 December, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 2: Recognizing larger Trends - Seeing Interconnections with Youth Work During this webinar we will look at trends in society and youth. We’ll explore how these trends influence and can be influenced by youth work. Implemented.
15 January - 23 February, ONLINE International Project Challenge To support young people in submitting the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps (ESC) application by the first deadline 23.02.2022. The call for participants is closed.
17 - 21 January, ONLINE ETS Trainers' Skills Workshop (TSW): Supporting NFL in a digital environment The workshop aims at expanding trainers’ competences with regard to methods and skills connected to facilitating non-formal learning in a digital space in the training design and practice in the field of youth.
