List of support activities and open calls 2022

There are several open calls at the moment, and more are opening, for activities where participants from Western Balkan Partner Countries can take part. Some of them are planned as on-line activities, others residentially. If you are interested, you are welcome to apply!

In case of residential activities, given the uncertain situation depending on the Corona pandemic, travel tickets should only be obtained at short notice (in general two weeks before the activity takes place, upon notification from us). Please also check the Covid-19-related conditions currently in place for entering the hosting country and for returning to your home country after the activity.

ID Talks is a series of 5 stand-alone online events (workshops) of up to 90 minutes each, with inspiring guest speakers, thought-provoking insights, discussion in small groups and Q&A sessions.

31 October - 17 November, ONLINE APPETISER (ONLINE) - An introduction on how to use Erasmus+ for international youth work To give a strong positive first experience of international youth work and motivate participants to use the Erasmus+ Programme and, to a certain extent, the European Solidarity Corps Programme. 3 - 6 November, Slovak Republic ON/OFF - Online and Offline Tools in Youth work This training will offer insight into vast world of online threats and opportunities that anyone can use and learn about and will offer youth workers and educators from different countries important contemporary skills, that are useful during online trainings and education, but are useful in offline environment as well. 7 - 11 November, The Netherlands European Solidarity Corps: TOSCA - training and support for organisations active in the volunteering actions in the European Solidarity Corps To support and build up the capacities of organizations that actively participate in volunteering actions of the European Solidarity Corps, in order to ensure quality and impact in the respective projects. 7 - 11 November, Poland Mental wellness - resilience and mental health at European Solidarity Corps volunteering projects To provide participants with practical psychological and coaching tools to support mental wellness and resilience of ESC volunteers. The call for participants is open until 22 September.
9 - 12 November, Slovak Republic Sustainable local youth work in Slovakia: Powered by Europe Goes Local and Democracy Reloading The study visit will provide insights to the reality of local youth work and youth participation, through visiting three municipalities of the region. The call for participants is open until 4 October.
15 - 18 November, Ireland Green Fingers - Supporting ESC organisations to address the Sustainability priority. To support organisations active in the European Solidarity Corps to address the Sustainability priority. The call for participants is open until 26 September.
21 - 25 November, Greece Raising Environmental Awareness To raise awareness among young people and youth organizations on ecological issues concerning environmental protection and sustainability. The call for participants is open until 30 September.
21 - 25 November, Czech Republic How to successfully carry out the projects - volunteering To further stimulate the development of volunteering projects within the European Solidarity Corps; foster partnership building and project management; ensure effectiveness as well as stimulate the development of cooperation among voluntary organisations. The call for participants is open until 5 October.
29 November - 2 December, Czech Republic How to support and integrate young refugees To support and motivate youth workers to involve young refugees in their activities or use their activities as a way how to support refugees. The call for participants is open until 7 October.
12 - 16 December, Finland Study visit: Youth participation in Finnish municipalities To get to know the Finnish youth sector and youth participation work in Finland, especially in the municipal field and locally. The call for participants is open until 25 September.
13 - 14 December, ONLINE Youth@Work: Reinforcing the Youth Guarantee - time to increase the impact of the Youth Sector Youth@Work is the link between NGOs and government-led youth initiatives, and it can offer the channel to promote and engage youth actors into national actions on EU Youth Guarantee. The call for participants is open until 31 October.
24 - 28 January 2023, Romania fYOUture Mapping the current European programs dedicated to youth, the strong points and elements needing improvement; identifying how the programs could be more efficiently implemented by developing synergies among them; elaboration of participant’s resolution concerning the future of youth in Europe. 17 - 21 January, ONLINE ETS Trainers' Skills Workshop (TSW): Supporting NFL in a digital environment The workshop aims at expanding trainers’ competences with regard to methods and skills connected to facilitating non-formal learning in a digital space in the training design and practice in the field of youth. 27 January, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 3: Rethinking innovation - what kind of innovator are you? Would you like to take a moment to explore the concept of Innovation in youth work with colleagues from across Europe? In this webinar, we will look into individual competences that make a difference when teams want to create innovative projects. Implemented.
23 February - 20 April, ONLINE ID Talks Shaping Inclusion and Diversity ID Talks is a series of 5 stand-alone online events (workshops) of up to 90 minutes each, with inspiring guest speakers, thought-provoking insights, discussion in small groups and Q&A sessions. Implemented.
1 - 15 March, ONLINE Training of Trainers and Facilitators on online learning The course will enable participants to explore and learn in a practical way how to design online learning and training activities. 1 - 3 March 2022, Germany 2nd ETS Conference - The Quality Bonus The Quality Bonus Conference focuses on education and training of youth workers at national level. It identifies how to strengthen spaces for synergies, cooperation, and joint reflection on youth work at the European level using the EU Youth programmes. Implemented.
10 March, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 4: Cultures of innovation Do you want to take a moment to explore the concept of innovation in youth work with colleagues from across Europe? In this webinar we will look at the ‘cultural factors’ and conditions within an organisation that foster innovative thinking and practices. Implemented.
16 - 20 March, ONLINE EuroPeers Training Course (Online) A training course for young people who took part in European Solidarity Corps/Erasmus+ Youth (former YOUTH IN ACTION) projects and want to share their European experiences with their peers. Implemented.
21 - 25 March 2022, Finland Youth@Work Study Visit - One-Stop Guidance Centers in Finland To strengthen the social inclusion of young people, to eradicate poverty among young people and to improve their employability and performance. Implemented.
28 March - 8 April, ONLINE ESC: TOSCA - online training and support for organisations active in the volunteering actions in the European Solidarity Corps To support and build up the capacities of organisations that actively participate in volunteering actions of the European Solidarity Corps, in order to ensure quality and impact in the respective projects. 4 - 6 April, ONLINE Digital Futures Seminar To discuss the current context of digital youth work following COVID-19 and examine the new landscape of implementing digital youth work with young people. Implemented.
4 April - 16 June, Belgium & Finland Go for Change! - Creating knowledge-based strategies through participatory action research and follow-up To support local youth work developers to improve the quality of local youth work by using participatory action-research tools and creating strong local strategies, in line with existing European practices and policies. Implemented.
6 - 11 April, Bulgaria A.C.T. for Democracy (Active Citizens Together for Democracy) To support active youth workers and volunteers to comprehend contemporary democracy as a concept and as a practice by creating a safe space for learning and critical thinking for better understanding of their local realities, providing efficient tools and working educational approaches, hence how they could take an active role against radicalization, hate speech and manipulation. Implemented.
10 - 16 April, Belgium EuroPeers Training Course A training course for young people who took part in European Solidarity Corps/Erasmus+ projects and want to share their European experiences with their peers. Implemented.
11 - 14 April, Croatia Mentors in ESC - Croatian speaking Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor within ESC and a chance to improve their mentor competencies. Implemented.
19 - 23 April, Italy Digital Youth Work and Educational Obstacles To increase the number and improve the quality of Erasmus+ and ESC projects involving young people in NEET situation. Implemented.
21 April, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work - Webinar 5: How to be future fit In the European Academy on Youth Work we want to support the professional development of youth workers and other professionals in youth work practice, policy and research, even in times of uncertainty, like the ones we are living today. For this reason, we are excited to invite you for a series of webinars we called Learning as a field in times of disruption and change. Implemented.
24 - 27 April, Poland EUROPEAN FORUM OF YOUNG LEADERS 4-day hybrid conference in Katowice, Poland for young European leaders from the EU and neighbouring countries with panel discussions and thematic sessions on different important aspects of European youth cooperation. Implemented.
24 - 29 April, Spain Youth Entrepreneurship in Vocal Music The learning design of these courses is based on a methodology to develop cultural and business ventures within the field of the singing voice that consists of three stages: creation, validation and the business plan. Implemented.
26 April - 1 May, Portugal Make the Move for Green Inclusion ! A new edition of the well known contact making seminar "Make the Move", aiming at bringing together youth field actors to create partnerships and work on the design and implementation of Youth Exchanges, on the topics of environment and inclusion. Implemented.
28 April, ONLINE Europe Goes Local Webinar - Introduction to Participatory Action Research in Youth Work The Europe Goes Local network organizes a series of webinars to support the quality development of local youth work. The first webinar is an introduction to the method of Participatory Action Research. Implemented.
8 - 14 May, Bulgaria Bridges to Solidarity To focus on the interpersonal aspect of solidarity in the EU and the connections EU citizens build across borders and within their local communities. Implemented.
16 - 19 May, Romania The 4th European event of Europe Goes Local The 4th European EGL Event is a forum where stakeholders of municipal level youth work can meet, exchange and express views, create joint activities and learn from each other. Implemented.
18 - 20 May, Finland Europe talks about Solidarity

To offer a platform for participating in debates on different aspects and understanding of solidarity in 2022; to showcase different inspirational inputs and practices related to solidarity in the European Solidarity Corps programme and beyond to foster Solidarity as a core value in Europe.

18 - 20 May, Ireland Queerasmus+ To increase mobilities and participation of LGBTI+ organizations in Erasmus+ programme. Implemented.
19 May, ONLINE EU Values Conference Increase awareness of EU values across sectors and access to Erasmus+ funding for values-based projects. Implemented.
23 - 28 May, Italy Building Resilient Communities: youth work preventing violent radicalisation and extremism To create a space to reflect, identify and analyse the role(s) of youth work in building resilient communities in order to mitigate the increasing polarization in our societies and to prevent violent radicalization processes among young people. Implemented.
23 May - 23 June, ONLINE HOP CRASH COURSE. Smooth start with online learning. To raise the understanding of what is QUALITY in online learning activities within non-formal education in youth field as well as to DISCOVER the potential of HOP online learning platform. Implemented.
24 - 26 May, France National Tool Fair in FR language (Foire aux outils pedagogiques francophone) This event is part of an international approach on the sharing of educational tools, as part of the Tools for Learning Strategy developed by the SALTO EuroMed RC on the collection & dissemination of educational resources (articles, publications, tools) in a multilingual dimension in order to better support the competencies’ development of youth actors, via a Multilingual Educational Portal: http://educationaltoolsportal.eu/. Implemented.
30 May - 2 June, Belgium LGTBQI+ Youth, a minority within a minority To focus on LGTBQI+ Youth and Intersectionality. The basics of both topics will be handled by using non-formal learning methods. This in combination with exploring practices of the field and input sessions on certain intersections. Implemented.
30 May - 3 June, Finland Youth@Work Study Visit - One-Stop Guidance Centres in Finland This study visit allows you to see how One-Stop Guidance Centres are designed and run in Finland. In this study visit you understand how the different models of multi-service centres link to Finnish youth work and how they support young people's life. Implemented.
31 May - 3 June 2022, Slovenia European Academy on Youth Work The EAYW aims to be inclusive and participatory in its approach and to give a voice to contributions representing the diverse levels, environments and stakeholders in youth work. Furthermore, it promotes cross-sectorial and multi-perspective approaches involving youth work practice, research, and policy, which have proven vital to successfully address identified developments or challenges. Reflection based on different perspectives should help to identify responses to trends that could be taken up by different roles. Implemented.
31 May - 3 June, ONLINE European Academy on Youth Work, 2nd edition - Participate online! The EAYW aims to be inclusive and participatory in its approach and to give a voice to contributions representing the diverse levels, environments and stakeholders in youth work. 4 - 11 June, Germany From Knowing to Being - ETS Training for Trainers To lift the potential of participants to take further steps in their professional development. In this context, advanced means that the trainers-learners have the capacity to direct and reflect upon their own learning and in particular, the ability to self-assess their own competences. Implemented.
6 - 10 June 2022, Albania International project lab "New Power in Youth" To support the quality development of youth participation projects, by offering the space to youth leaders to create partnerships and initiate common projects on the topics or social causes identified in their local contexts. The Lab provides a unique opportunity to add a European perspective to them and find common solutions and ways forwards. Implemented.
9 June, ONLINE Europe Goes Local Webinar: Fostering Meaningful Communication (Dialogue) in Your Local Reality Dialogue is essential for better understanding diversity of voices in local realities. Dialogue is a space where those voices can come together as equals to listen and learn from each other. Through committing to dialogue, one can better understand the complexity of local issues, combat polarization and support democratic processes and participation, especially for those whose voices are often left unheard. Implemented.
9 June, ONLINE Pop The Bubble online event To support quality of learning mobility in all formats (also online/hybrid/blended) especially for newcomer organisations. It is part of the "Pop The Bubble online campaign" to highlight youth mobility and inspire and support youth organisations to set up good quality projects. Implemented.
12 - 16 June, Albania From youth work to Youth@Work: The potential of youth work to boost young people's employability and entrepreneurship The seminar focuses on the role of youth work in contributing to the meaningful participation of young people in the world of work and improving their overall perspectives for personal and professional growth.

The activity is a part of the Strategic Partnership "Youth@Work" between the National Agencies and SALTOs. 

13 - 16 June, Finland Youth Work Recovery Conference To explore the evidence on the needs for support of youth work in Europe, on the one hand, and the available support options for youth work in Europe, on the other hand. Therefore, gaps in existing support measures as well as specific and concrete mechanisms needed (in addition to existing ones) should be identified. Implemented.
14 - 17 June, France Training for ESC mentors (in French language) Over the years, the French Erasmus + National Agency has built a strong expertise in training EVS/ESC mentors. In 2021, a first session was organized online to French-speaking ESC mentors or would-be mentors from other countries and it was a success. Implemented.
19 - 23 June, Georgia Mobility Taster for Inclusion Organisations - EECA - Georgia Did you know you can organise international youth projects for your young people from disadvantaged backgrounds? Come and discover what Erasmus+ Youth/Solidarity Corps can do for you and the young people you work with. Implemented.
20 - 21 June, ONLINE Activating citizens - municipalities making use of the European Solidarity Corps To motivate and support municipalities to make use of the European Solidarity Corps Programme as a tool for social cohesion and solidarity. Implemented.
20 - 24 June 2022, France LTA Beyond Borders - Neighbours together - Kick-off Event! (Strategic Cooperation with Neighbouring Partner Countries) Enhancing the visibility and value of cooperation between Programme and Partner countries within Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps. Implemented.

Activities within the COMETS series are based on the ETS Competence Model for Trainers Working Internationally. Implemented.
27 - 29 June 2022, Slovenia Intercity conference To bring together municipal stakeholders responsible for the provision of youth work in order to strengthen the role and capacity of local authorities in supporting knowledge based, participatory youth work. Implemented.
5 - 8 July, Croatia Do IT in Youth Work To educate youth workers in methods and tools necessary for development of digital competencies of young people. Implemented.
11 - 16 July, Poland "How to talk about war?" Working with young people in times of war crisis To reflect how to talk about the war situation, its consequences and how to be impactful in local and international youth work. Implemented.
20 July, ONLINE "Keep it real! 2022 Introduction" - an e-learning event on how to prepare a successful youth exchange project The online event is aimed at those who have no or only some experience in preparing a Youth Exchange and is an introduction to TC "Keep it Real! 2022" which will be held in September. Implemented.
17 - 19 August, Latvia EGL SNAC "Youth workers Well-being" To raise awareness of psycho-emotional well-being of youth workers and to improve the quality of youth work in local municipalities. Implemented.
5 - 9 September, Estonia TEC Forum 2022

To strengthen a common understanding and knowledge building of the diversity of practises, approaches and quality elements of TEC; to explore how new elements related with the European policies are integrated in TEC; to stimulate a community of practice during and beyond the event, as a space for continuous networking, support and development of TEC; looking into concrete steps and practices to keep moving with the “new reality“ linked to Covid-19 in TEC activities, including virtual and blended activities.

"Keep it Real! 2022" in Vilnius, Lithuania To support Youth Exchange applicants to increase main quality aspects in various phases of the project and prepare an eligible Youth Exchange. Implemented.
7 September 2022 - 22 March 2023, Lithuania YOCOMO Training of Trainers 2022-2023 (with online and residential parts) To bring trainers’ work to the next level. You will learn how to reach a bigger impact with your training course on youth work competences. It will help you to connect your training to the most recent European developments. 12 - 18 September, Bulgaria TICTAC Training Course & Partnership Building Activity To develop participants’ competences for implementing ‘Mobility of Youth Workers’ projects within ERASMUS+ (Youth) Programme, as support measures in an organisation's long-term strategy. Implemented.
20 - 24 September, Romania SoliDARE - European meeting for organisations in the Solidarity Corps To bring together representatives from organisations and informal groups active in European Solidarity Corps. The event aims to start building up the community of organisations that are part of the European Solidarity Corps network. The call for participants is closed.
27 - 30 September, Poland Social Inclusion of Young Refugees To gain competences and knowledge in the field of support and social integration of Ukrainian youth with refugee background. At the same time, the training is to increase the competences of experienced organisations in working with refugees, but also to motivate and inspire organisations which do not know this topic to start working in this area. 27 September 2022 - 23 April 2023, Lithuania & online & Armenia Digital Transformers

To increase awareness about different aspects of digital transformation in the youth field and considering inclusion, participation and diversity; to increase competences of youth workers and provide them with new approaches to digital transformation in youth work; to utilise knowledge and experiences on digital transformation from diverse sectors and explore the potential of cross-sectoral cooperation to enrich youth work.

14 - 17 November, Greece Europe Goes Local Project Lab to support rural youth work To raise the quality of local youth work in particular through enhanced cooperation between various stakeholders that are active at the municipal level. The call for participants is closed.
21 - 25 November, France ITFXVI - Tool Fair XVI - TOOL UP - your vision on sustainability Tool Fair aims to be a community of practice open to youth workers, youth leaders, educators, trainers and teachers interested in sharing, transferring and adapting educational tools in the frame of non-formal learning. 6 - 10 December, Turkey Conference: "On track 6 REUNION - Different youth work approaches for different NEET situations" To support collaboration and exchange between professionals from different sectors in order to create better opportunities for young people in a NEET situation and enable their active involvement in society and integration into the labour market.
