List of support activities 2020

* There are several open calls at the moment, and more are opening, for activities where participants from Western Balkan Partner Countries can take part. If you are interested, you are welcome to apply. However, given the uncertain situation depending on the corona pandemic, tickets should only be obtained at short notice (in general two weeks before the activity takes place, upon notification from us). The possibility of participation of course depends on the possibilities to travel and to enter the hosting country (without quarantine etc.).

ONLINE Ready, Set, Make the change! European Solidarity Corps Online Course - final phase of 2020! A free online course which allows people interested in the European Solidarity Corps to learn about the programme opportunities in a flexible way. ONLINE Masive Online Open Course (MOOC) on Digital Youth Work

This course is open for anyone in the world, but mainly focused on youth workers from Europe willing to learn about digital youth work.

6 - 20 October, ONLINE SoliDARE online SoliDARE online aims to bring together representatives from organisations active in European Solidarity Corps programme. The event aims to start building up the community of organisations that are part of the European Solidarity Corps network. The call for participants is open until 27 September.
9 - 30 October, ONLINE Solidarity in Balkan Region A transnational NET Activity for people involved in ESC and are active in the region of Balkans. The participants will have the chance for networking, exchanging ideas and good practices and creating teams that will create volunteering projects. The call for participants is open until 1 October.
2 - 6 November, ONLINE COMETS: Being Civically Engaged (online edition) Training for advanced Trainers focusing on the dimension of being civically engaged, based on the ETS competence model for trainers working at international level. The call for participants is open until 4 October.
2 - 13 November, Czech Republic APPETISER (online edition) - An introduction on how to use Erasmus+: Youth in action and the European Solidarity Corps Programmes for international youth work To give a strong positive first experience of international youth work and motivate participants to use the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps Programme. The call for participants is open until 28 September.
2 - 16 November, Poland On-line TC on mental health in volunteering projects The training course will guide the participants towards better quality in supporting E+/ESC/EVS volunteers´ emotional well-being and understanding of the field of mental health and its importance for everyone. The call for participants is open until 30 September.
10 - 12 November, ONLINE Solidarity in Your Municipality - fostering international work by using European Solidarity Corps This on-line event will highlight the various possibilities the European Solidarity Corps brings to Municipalities, focusing on volunteering. The call for participants is open until 18 October.
10 - 26 November, ONLINE Youth work, national policies and solidarity action in Euro-mediterranean area A transnational NET Activity for people involved in ESC and are active in Euro-mediterranean area. The participants will have the chance for networking, exchanging ideas and good practices and building partnerships for future projects. The call for participants is open until 1 November.
17 - 20 November, ONLINE Bridges for Trainers 2020 - Rethinking - Reconnecting - Rebuilding - !!! online edition !!! Bridges for Trainers (BfT) offers a platform to debate on trends and issues related to training in the youth field – national and international. The call for participants is open until 28 September.

25 - 28 November, Slovenia

Volunteering & solidarity as a social capital of the city

An international conference to promote wider and system social and economic dimensions and impacts of volunteering and solidarity in urban setting.

18 - 22 January 2021, Slovenia InnoCamp - develop your digital youth work services To contribute to the development of digital youth work in Europe by encouraging and helping youth organisations innovate their youth work services and add a digital dimension to them. InnoCamp is based on the Innobox toolkit developed by Verke and it provides a structured approach and support for (re)developing operations and creating something new. 15 - 19 February 2021, Belgium - FR TEC Forum 2021 The TEC (Training and Evaluation Cycle) Forum 2021 is a seminar designed for trainers active in the European Solidarity Corps and who implement the TEC learning cycle. The call for participants is open until 30 November.
September, Germany Partnership building activity on the topic of youth work against violent radicalisation and extremism To enhance cooperation among NGOs active in this field who would like to develop new projects at European level The call for participants will be opened later this year.
December, ONLINE Annual meeting of ex-ESC/EVS/E+ volunteers The Event brings together former short- and long-term volunteers. It offers them a dynamic and creative place to network and share experiences from the volunteering projects. It also gives opportunity to the volunteers to discuss and evaluate their experiences and to equip them with knowledge how to pass them on to current and potential volunteers. The call will be opened at a later stage.
October, ONLINE Annual meeting of volunteering accredited organisations from WB These meetings, taking place annually from 2017 gather on the same place volunteering coordinators, mentors and/or other support persons involved in the work with EVS/E+/European Solidarity Corps volunteers. The meetings offer an opportunity to reinforce supportive communities in each country, to share experiences and good practices in sending and hosting volunteers, to discuss obstacles and plan common steps to overcome them.  The call will be opened at a later stage.

Autumn, Slovenia

Key to inclusion: European Solidarity Corps III

The aim of the activity is to encourage and support inclusive projects in the frame of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme and give an impetus for the creation of the European network of organizations interested in inclusive ESC projects.

POSTPONED TO autumn, Germany European Symposium on the Development of Critical Youth Citizenship To introduce and debate the concept of critical youth citizenship, strengthen and promote the civic mission of youth work, foster synergies and collaboration amongst those supporting the political dimension of youth work. Autumn, Jordan Partnership-building activity  for cooperation between organisations coming from Programme countries and all neighbouring regions To inform about opportunities for cooperation in the new Erasmus+ and ESC programmes, offer space to find new partners and develop joint projects The call for participants will be opened later this year.
Autumn, Portugal TOOL FAIR XV To bring together youth work experts to discuss and learn from each other about innovative methods and best practices from the field of youth work. The call for participants will be opened at a later stage.
November, Italy Youth@Work Bridging Conference To take stock of the Youth@Work developments and creating links with and preparing for the next Erasmus programme for Education, Training and Youth.

24 - 27 February, Austria Exploring the digital dimension of youth workers’ competences To explore the digital dimension of youth work by providing an overview of the current developments and exploring the competences of youth workers in the existing competence models. Implemented
24 - 28 February, Austria European Solidarity Corps: TOSCA To support and build up the capacities of organisations that actively participate in Volunteering Actions of the European Solidarity Corps, in order to ensure quality and impact of projects. Implemented
25 - 29 February, Slovenia Inclusion matchmaking – Find European partners for inclusion projects To encourage and support inclusive projects in the framework of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action and the European Solidarity Corps Programmes. The activity targets organisations working with young people with diverse abilities.
