Peer Education Approach in Cultural Diversity

This booklet is not an in-depth encyclopaedia covering all aspects of Peer Education and Cultural Diversity, but it can be used as an essential guide of tips and tricks to get you moving on your own peer projects.

As part of the strategy for reaching the needs of young people, SALTO Cultural Diversity and the Austrian National Agency joined forces to plan the PiPo (Peering in Peering out) training course.
The idea was to bring together young people from across Europe to increase their skills and competencies to enable them to deal with Cultural Diversity issues in their projects and work with other young people in their localities.

In order to make this training course as beneficial as possible, we decided to produce this booklet with tips and tricks to help you on your way.

  • The knowledge: why Peer Education in Cultural Diversity projects and what is Peer Education?
  • The skills: the do’s and don’ts of Peer Education projects
  • Tips, tricks, tools, and techniques – The top five competencies: Cultural Diversity, Group Dynamics, Facilitation, Communication, and Project Management
  • Online resources, training, and information
