Invitation to register for the CONSULTATIVE MEETING on cooperation with neighbouring partner countries

Dear heads of National Agencies,

It is my great pleasure to be able to invite you or one of your staff member to the Consultative meeting on Cooperation with partner countries, which will take place from 19th of September 2019, 9.00 hrs to 20th of September 2019 until 13.00 hrs in Ljubljana.

The Consultative meeting is organised on the request of the Coordination Group and the preparatory meeting, attended by 3 regional SALTOS as well as colleagues from National agencies in Germany, France, Northern Macedonia and Finland as well as the European Commission, has taken a place in Paris, 4 -5 June 2019.

The preparatory group confirmed two main objectives for the meeting, namely:

  • to develop recommendations for the international cooperation strand for the European youth programmes after 2020,
  • to define the role and responsibilities of SALTO and National Agencies regarding the support for the cooperation with Partner countries, and the involvement of the Partner regions in the new programmes. Further details about the agenda and supporting document will be available at letter stage.

The recommendations as developed by the Consultative meeting as well as any other outcome will be presented at Business Meeting in Finland, October 8-11, 2019, with aim to establish the position of the Network regarding the co-operation with partner countries in future programmes after 2020. 

I would kindly ask you to register your participation by filling in requested data at by 5th of July 2019 at the latest. This will help us to pre-book hotel accommodation for you and due to 2019 Men's European Volleyball Championship taking place in Ljubljana at the same time, the rooms availability is decreasing rapidly.

In logistical terms, we would suggest that you plan to arrive to Ljubljana airport by evening of 18th of September and depart from Ljubljana airport on 20th of September after 15.00 hrs.
