SALTO needs you!

Give your suggestions... it is very important for us to have your opinion about SALTO proposed activities!

This is the '2009 workplan' page, with links to some of the SALTOs workplans. You can find from these links some proposals for 2009. At the end there is a questionnaire and you can use it to feedback your comments.

You will notice that not all the SALTOs are listed here. That's because we are a diverse network, with some SALTOs having a long term strategy that combines partnership working that was already agreed some time ago, or they carry out more of a coordination role that supports from a distance.

Other SALTOs work on a shorter timeframe, and are now open for feedback or suggestions on their activities.

SALTO wants to involve you to give your suggestions about our activities and proposals for the next year. you can find here what we are thinking to do for 2009.

What do you think? What's good? What could be improved? What other ideas do you have?

Hello from Georgia (Caucasus)

I think it will be great if you have a project in conflict areas or if you have most of all participants from Conflict Areas in your project. Also It will be interesting to make a project about especially conflict problems. For example I am from Conflict Region and like this topics are interested for me. Dear SALTO youth,

I have got some suggestions concerning Caucasus activities.

1. - We should create "Caucasus" NGO, the head of it must be somebody from SALTO, voluntaries-from three Caucasus countries. This NGO will become a coordinator body in the Caucasus network, and organize seminars, trainings and etc. Each year - 3 trainings or seminars-every time in a different country.

2. - In the end of each seminar we should organize something extreme.

for example: after seminar in Yerevan (Armenia) we can made a memorial plaque in three languages, then go up to a mountain and place it on the peak of the mountain.

3. – To create web site (http://CYP.org – Caucasus youth for peace). It’ll have three moderators from each country. There will be place for forum, news and etc.

I think this idea is a good start for making peace, stability and security in the region.

I just want to thank you about all you have done for us. Your page design was fine and we could easliy follow your announcements and you were very careful about the regular e-mails regarding the announcements. In 2009, I hope you continue like this. Yet I have no new suggestions for your activities. I can recognize that you work very hard and you are coordinated. However, it would be nice if you gave RSS to our Web sites and that, we could directly issue your announcements in addition to the web sites of our national agencies. I am the managing director of a project concultancy company. Many young call us everyday but we cannot help them because we are getting our income from other sources. Therefore, we decided to make a Web Site for our young friends in Turkey. I need to be sure that strong organizations like you support our non-profit Web Sites. Our web site will be ready in a couple of months. I will be waiting your response about this RSS issue.

Best Regards,

Euromed Youth Unit- Jordan

(Ali Bibi, 01.10.08 01:37)

I have to agree with my Friend from Tunisia... It would be surely a great opportunity for All Salto teams to meet with Euromed Youth Units (EMYUs). Our suggested next meeting in 2009 would be in Jordan. I think, if I am not mistaken, it would be the first MEDA country to host such an event & We will be more than happy to organize the meeting inorder to bring the Euromed Youth closer to each other.

(Musa Teymurov, 06.11.08 10:15)

Warm greetings from the warm country - Azerbaijan!

Fist of all, That would be quite reasonable to mention that Salto-Youth has been doing a great job making youth more active and helping build an excellent communication through youth groups among countries in the world.

Upon planning the 2009 Strategy planning, let me also emphasize the continious demand of peace-building and/or conflict resolution projects as to better the situation in conflict regions such as Caucasus today.

Wish you all the best and prolonging successes!

Cheers,

Musa
