Training Course “Theatrical Art as a Tool for Intercultural Dialogue Creation”

Training Course

15-22 September 2010 | Odessa, Ukraine

Through cultural relationships we strive to generate opportunities for individuals to fulfill their potential and foster the co-operation that contributes to a stable world.
TC "Theatrical Art as a Tool of Intercultural Dialogue Creation" has been approved by Irish National Agency. Main aim is to train youth workers, youth leaders for developing their competences to give information, motivate and keep young people involved and is focused on the development of youth workers' skills to use the YIA programme in their work (by developing the key competences of young people). This training course aims at increasing the use of Youth In Action programme. Within informal education methologies, theatre work (and in particular Forum theatre; originator of games used in energizers and icebrakers) is a very powerful tool with a diverse and comprehensive set of skills for working with, engaging and empowering young people to become active citizens. Forum theatre has thus far proven a successful method of promoting intercultural work. The YIA Programme is probably the only way share this way of working with young people within these regions (South East Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus). Recognition of non formal education (through Youthpass eg.) so that their experience in YIA could be valorised in their professional life It will foster the recognition of their non-formal learning, and act a tool to visualise and validate learning outcomes gained in the project.
