Partnership-building Activity

The project is a Partnership Building Activity for specific "Youth in Action" programme countries, for youth workers who are directly working with the age group 13-17 (preferably from socially disadvantaged families)
Type: Partnership Building Activity Applicable Partner Countries (applicants have to be approved by national partner organisations) Iceland, Finland, Northern Ireland, Estonia, Italy, France, Slovenia, Hungary, Spain Aims and Objectives: - Bring youth worker together who work with young people aged 13-17, preferably from socially disadvantaged families - Share work experiences in different countries - Have a group of youth worker coming from at least 10 different countries (within EU) - Introduce the EU funding programme “Youth in Action” Action 1.1 – youth exchanges - Discuss and experience Intercultural Learning - Establish partnerships for future exchanges - Develop concrete youth exchange projects for 2010 Target group: Youth worker directly working with youngsters in the age group 13-17, willing to organise international youth exchanges with their youngsters (NO coordinators, NO multipliers NO EVS interested persons or EVS volunteers). The sending organisation has to approve that the person will be allowed to carry out a project in 2011.

Association of Viennese Youth Centres (Youth NGO)

The Association of Viennese Youth Centres is a Non-Governmental Organisation, supported financially by the municipality of Vienna.

The Association employs app. 300 persons, most of them as youth-workers directly in the field.

The range of activities is:

 Open minded youth work in youth-centres and youth clubs
 Detached youth work
 Training courses, especially in creativity (drama, dance, music)
 Counselling
 Organising events, especially in the fields of music and sport
 Special programs during holiday seasons, such as camps and international exchanges

Target group is youngsters in the age from 6-19. Some centre provide also offers for adults, community centres are specialized on adults.

Every participation on every activity is on a voluntary basis

Costs

30% of travel costs have to be carried by participants or their sending organisations (up to certain limits). The rest, food, accommodation and programme will be carried by EU funding.
