INCLUSION EVS CONTACT MAKING SEMINAR
The objective of the seminar is to promote partnerships between regions of Cities Capitals, based on the network of actors involved in the mobility of young people with fewer opportunities, using the Youth in Action Programme and EVS in particular.
Objectives
The objective of the seminar is to promote partnerships between regions of Cities Capitals, based on the network of actors involved in the mobility of young people with fewer opportunities (EVS sending and host organisations, associations of people’s education, responsible staff of local and regional authorities, local youth policy makers) using as a tool the Youth in Action Programme and EVS in particular. This seminar is an initiative elaborated together with the Conseil Regional of the Ile-de-France region in order to implicate the Local Missions for Youth employment of the Region into the different Actions of the Youth in Action programme.
The seminar aims to:
- Set up partnerships between participants for the sending and hosting of young people with fewer opportunities in the context of EVS.
- Undertake an intercultural learning process between European youth workers through a comparison of the definition of young people with fewer opportunities and the problems of social inclusion in the different countries represented by the participants in the seminar.
- Provide a technical, administrative, and pedagogical assistance for organising EVS projects and guaranteeing their quality.
- Motivate participants for the organisation of one or two youth exchange projects with the described target group. In the context of a « step by step » approach, this first mobility experience may allow the youngsters to participate afterwards in an EVS project.
