    Roma Active Albania for a period of 6 days.

    Description:

    Aims and objectives:

    - giving participants tools to work with youth minorities in order to integrate them in the communities where they live;
    - promoting the inclusion of young people from minority communities in the society exchanging competences on minority issues;
    - empowering minority young people and minority communities in acquiring knowledge and skills on minorities;
    - improving the quality of minority-focused projects, organised by the partner organisations in the future, both within and outside the Youth in Action programme;
    - using non formal education as a tool for social change (presenting Compass manual)
    - empowering the activities of the Youth Organizations which come from countries where minority communities are present and which work with minorities;
    - building a new network composed by trainers and youth workers working with minorities with the aim to involve them in youth activities supported by the Youth Programme and by other programmes of aid;
    - promoting the Youth in Action Programme as a tool for minority youth work
    - setting up new partnerships

    Target group: youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers, project managers involved in youth work

  2. Training: Take an Act!ion for Human Trafficking Prevention (November 2007, European Youth Centre Budapest, Hungary)

    Organised by:

    Minorities of Europe, Council of Europe for a period of 5 days.

    Description:

    Aims and objectives:

    - to share and analyse the experiences on the projects and activities aimed at prevention of youth trafficking, in particular of minority youth, implemented in countries represented by participants;
    - to introduce human rights education as an effective tool for prevention of human trafficking;
    - to discuss the role of human rights education in prevention of youth trafficking;
    - to develop strategies to promote sustainable human rights education with young people for prevention of trafficking in human beings, in particular in minority youth;
    - to review the opportunities for prevention of youth trafficking provided by the human rights education, the World Programme of Human Rights Education, the new European Commission’s “Youth in Action” Programme and Council of Europe;
    - to share and reflect on the practice to be used in future national and regional activities in human trafficking prevention;
    - to prepare common objectives, approaches and projects for prevention of youth trafficking, in particular of minority youth, on International and Interregional governmental and non-governmental levels;
    - to facilitate dialogue, support networking and co-operation among minority youth, organizations and other institutions and individuals active in the field of human trafficking prevention;
    - to gather contributions for the development of organisational strategies to better serve needs of minority youth today and in the future;

    Target group: participants active in human trafficking prevention, in particular youth and minority you trafficking prevention: activists, educators, trainers and youth workers, representing multicultural communities, collaborating with minority youth and motivated to develop their work on human trafficking prevention, in particular minority youth trafficking prevention

    Description:

    Aims and objectives:
    - to reflect on the role of youth-led activities in promoting racial equality
    - to analyse the various activities tackling racism that young people can lead and be involved in
    - to provide the participants with solid knowledge and practical skills necessary to organise such activities and allow them to share experiences and exchange ideas on the topic
    - to encourage various European organisations to promote racial equality through youth work and international cooperation
    - to increase the quality of youth projects tackling racism and xenophobia
    - to promote the YOUTH Programme as a tool of combating racism on the local level (Action 3) and international level (Actions 1, 2 and 5).
    - to plan and develop new project within the Youth Program around topics related to fighting racism and xenophobia, to be organised and hosted by the Project Partners in their respective countries

    Target group: youth leaders, youth workers, volunteers and community activists working with young people and racial equality issues
