Young journalists and philosofy in daily life

Collaboration and networking with enterprises and / or civil society organizations on the philosophical approach to the issues of everyday life and the role that press and young journalists can play in educating and raising young people's awareness.

Partners: EPEK (ngo) from Greece, plus two or three partners from Europe (5-6 participants per partner)
Aim is the mutual understanding and respect of the different cultures and civilizations through philosophy. Our orientation is universal and we want to work with people who live with and support such ideas, to promote understanding, respect and tolerance among different cultures, ethnicities, religions.
Activities:
• Morning: visiting archeological sites and natural habitats where ancient philosophy developed (Mycenae, Argos, Nafplion, Nemea, Isthmia, Korinthos, Stymfalia, Feneos, Sikyon for experiential activities.
• Afternoon: workshop for philosophy in daily life, utilizing ancient philosophical thought, (Plato, Aristotle, Heraclitus, Epicurus, Pythagoras, Epiktetos etc).
Each partner must host similar activities in each country.
Deliverables: common magazine / newspaper and electronic platform in the language of each partner, plus English. Each partner must deliver in time, texts, photos, videos and other materials for the common release.
Duration: one year
Implementation:
• In Greece: June 2018
• In other countries: August – December 2018
Deadline for completing our cooperative scheme for the project: early December 2017
