We are burning! // Partnership Building Activity

United Societies of Balkans is looking for partners for a project proposal for a KA1 -
Mobility of Youth workers: Partnership Building Activity that is planning to submit to the
Greek National Agency on 5th of February 2020 deadline. The PBA named “We are
burning!” will be organised in Thessaloniki, Greece in winter 2020. The deadline to
answer to this call is 25/01/2020.
We are looking for partner organisation who are working closely in the fields of
environmental education and sustainable development and who already have experience
in organising youth projects (local or international) on these topics.

PROPOSAL SUMMARY

We are burning… both literally and figuratively. We are burning as planet Earth. We burn
fuels, gas, oil, forests and as a consequence we changed the climate that brought to
immense burning of the environment and natural habitats. Many scientists warn that we
have irreversibly changed the climate and it will only get worse.
We are burning… from desire to do something in this regard to preserve and protect
the environment as well as promote more sustainable way of living. Our lives and the
lives of future generations depend on it.
We are burning… from a need to improve our work, get new competences, tools,
practices, methodological approaches and reliable partners with whom we can develop
quality projects for environmental education and sustainable development.
United Societies for Balkans as an organisation that is very active in empowering youth
to be active citizens, social inclusion of vulnerable groups, volunteering as well as with
using European youth programmes have decided to expand its work in the field of
environmental education and sustainable development as we can no longer stay idle in
tackling the dire environmental issues.
Therefore, through the present call we will apply for a Partnership Building Activity
through which we plan to establish efficient partnerships, exchange of good practices,
competences, information and insights as well as be a firm starting point for creating
new joint projects and long lasting cooperation.
