W.o.W. (War of Words)

The thematic of the project is the creation of a dialogue framed space will discuss about the online video gaming addiction disorder and its’ consequences.

W.o.W. (War of Words), is a 6 months Youth in Action program starting in June 2014 and concluding in November 2014, including a 6 day international seminar (22-27/08/2014), under action 5.1 “Meetings of young people and those responsible for youth policy” that will be organized and hosted by United Societies of Balkans in Thessaloniki, Greece. The thematic of the particular project is the creation of a dialogue framed space in which the participants, both young people and experts as well as youth policy makers, will discuss about the online video gaming addiction disorder and its’ consequences not only to the individual player but to the broader social communities and networks of young people as well. During the seminar, the participants will also examine how video games can also positively contribute to the individual as well as groups of young people and how in game systems, tactics and strategies can be transformed into real life suggestions for the enhancement of creativity, education and learning.
