Young Green Crescent

Turkish Green Crescent Society founded in 1920 is a non-govermental organization that, on the premise of human honour and respect endeavors to protect society and youth from harmful habits without discrimination.Guided by national and moral values, and using scientific methods, the Green Crescent struggles against tobacco, alcohol, drug, technology, gambling and other addictions by engaging in preventive and rehabilitative public health and advocacy work.

In that framework, Green Crescent Society, to fight addictions, mobilizes public awareness, power and resources, helps people in need of support under any circumtances, anywhere and anytime for preserving human dignity and respectability, and contributes without cease to improvement of capacity to struggle against addictions.To that end, it also organizes joint events and establishes cooperation with national or international public or private institutions and non-govermental organizations.

Young Green Crescent

Young Green Crescent , which consists of approximately 15.000 volunteers from university students , has also sub-voluntary organization which consists of primary and high school students, such as Green Crescent Clubs.
By functioning on their own, these organizations carry out activities of advocacy and awareness pursuant to masses they appeal to, the goal of Green Crescent and with the help of Green Crescent institutional support.
In this sense Young Green Crescent volunteers participate in activities which Turkey Green Crescent community provides and they get involved in planning and performing process of projects for peer groups.
Young Green Crescent have been fighting against addictions for almost a century and it is a community which Green Crescent always desires its support.
Young Green Crescent has become very active civil society organization.By year 2017, Young Green Crescent clubs had been established in 100 different universities around Turkey.Along with booths and visibility activities, these clubs have become a dynamic civil youth movement through many street demonstrations.
By participating in not only national activities but also international activities Young Green Crescent volunteers develops their knowledge , skills and visions.
