"ÚTON" (ON THE WAY) Association

“ÚTON” (“On The Way”) Association was founded in 2004. Our collegues are young, dynamic youth workers, who conscientiously take part in European Youth Programmes. Our goals are to help youth with developing their competences by our programs, opportunities. We make them active and encourage them to be conscious about how to spend their spare time and how they step into the labour market. We pay attention to develop our collegues’ competences, profession for helping, mentoring the youth in an effective way and be successful in different situations.

Since June, 2009 we have our own youth camp in Égervölgye, in the northern of the country, not far from the famous huge dripstone cave, Aggtelek (part of world heritage). We offer youth groups and schools the opportunity to organize trips and different programs there. We also opened a new camp on the shore of Lake Balaton.

Our main goals are to help in the intercultural learning processes, tolerance programs and participate in sharing experiences and efficient methods between neighboring nations and other European countries, as well.

We inform youth about European youth programs, and motivate them to participate, we always use the tools of the non-formal learning.
We also organize programs in our country, thus we would like to offer opportunities and possible alternatives to the youth how they can spend their spare time in a more valuable way, assist intercultural learning processes, encourage youth to have a positive attitude to each other and other nations, different ethnic groups.

Our activities:
- operating camps
- organising intercultural youth programs
- taking part in international youth programs
- coordinating European campaigns, projects in a national level
- operating a consultant and information office
- EVS sending activity

Currently we are looking for partners with whom we can participate in Youth Exchanges and can cooperate to send EVS volunteers.
