Tekirdağ Probation Directorate, which was established in 2005 with the enactment of the Probation Services Law, has 1 Manager, 1 Chief, 7 Probation Specialists (Sociologist, Psychologist, Teacher), 1 Spiritual Guide (Religious Person) 23 Probation Officers and 2 Servants. 35 personnel work in total. In our structure; There are a Training and Improvement Office, Admissions Office, Enforcement Office, Audit Office, Assessment and Planning Bureau, Incoming Documents Bureau, Administrative and Financial Affairs Bureau, Protection Boards Bureau and Victim Services Bureau.
The basic principle of our Directorate is respect for human dignity and honesty. Those who work in Supervised Freedom Services; acts within the framework of respect for human rights, honesty and determination; they cannot behave in humiliating, humiliating or degrading while performing their duties. They are obliged to protect the confidentiality of the information they have learned about the suspect, the accused, the convict or their family or the reports they have prepared.
Fills a 150-question research and evaluation form to get to know the convict and plan the probation process. The form asks questions about the person's crime information, education level, drug and alcohol use, anger control, family, friends and environment. According to the answers given by the convict, the crime and criminal history he has committed, an inspection plan, which is a training-improvement execution schedule, is prepared. Procedures to be carried out for adults and children are carried out separately. Care is taken to protect the best interests of children. A total of 3200 people are involved in correcting the behavior of those who have committed crimes, preventing recurrence, monitoring released criminals, rehabilitating drug addicts, preventing the loss of victims and therefore protecting the society (Crime Drifting Children, defendant, convict, Crime Victim) are monitored and followed under supervision and guidance.
The aim of training and rehabilitation activities is to raise awareness of criminal behavior, to adapt to society, to integrate into business life and to ensure family integrity so that the convict does not commit a crime again. In this context, 290 individual meetings per month in our directorate, 9 seminars every month on social life, family, law, religion and health, Cigarette Alcohol and Substance Addiction 2 times a month, Anger Control, Change for Life Program, Change Hour, Addiction Fighting group work. programs are carried out.
Victim support services for the Probation Specialist staff, individual interview rooms, group study rooms, skills-based training workshop, literacy hall, library, hall for workshops and seminars, and a movie watching room for leisure time are available.
Ex-convicts, those under probation and those who suffer from crimes can apply to the Presidency of the Protection Board of the Chief Public Prosecutor, whose secretariat is carried out by our Probation Directorate, with in-kind, cash, job, loan, project, occupation, education and health demands. Pruning, gardening, greenhouse cultivation, mushroom cultivation, natural gas heating firefighting, literacy and entrepreneurship courses are opened. In addition, recruitment projects for ex-convicts are prepared and submitted to the General Directorate of İşkur. Protocols are made for the cooperation of public institutions and organizations in our province to adapt convicts to society. By applying to the Trakya Development Agency in our region for project cycle management training, 3 of our personnel were provided with project cycle management training. Personnel participating in the project training prepare Erasmus + KA 1 and + KA2 projects to raise awareness of convicts in criminal behavior and to integrate them into society.
