Kaunas University of Technology Students' Union

Kaunas University of Technology Students' Union (KTU SA) is an active student organization founded in 1993 to represent 15 000 students of the university. The organization has over 300 active members. KTU SA aims to improve the quality of studies and help students to become highly-skilled specialists and universally educated human beings. We work hard towards social well-being of our students and community, fight for equality and inclusion of students that have fewer opportunities. We organize many cultural, educational and sports events to take care that students of our university have a lot of options to have an active leisure time. It is important for the members of this organization that students approach them if they have any serious troubles or concerns.

Kaunas University of Technology Students' Union is working with a lot of international partners in different Erasmus+ projects. We are one of the strongest student representative organizations in Lithuania and have successfully submitted many projects to youth initiative funds in Lithuania and also participated in many international projects. In 2014 we have helped to organize a very successful Erasmus+ project "We Grow Leaders for Europe" with an aim to foster young people's leadership and communication skills.
Our organization seeks to encourage young people to become active and well-educated citizens who work for the well-being of their environment. As a student representative organization we are interested in projects that would help the professional and personal growth of students of our university. We also take an active role in organizing various events and executing projects that would contribute to students successful integration in the labor market.
All involved people – young, active students, ready to learn quickly and in great amounts.
About the staff – we are working with a lot of partners in different national and Erasmus+ projects and are active youth workers.

Year by year Kaunas University of Technology Students' Union:
• represents students of the university on regional, national and international levels;
• consults students about scholarships and loans;
• helps to improve the quality of studies;
• organizes cultural, entertainment and sports events;
• administrates Lithuanian Students Card (LSP);
• helps Lithuanian and international students to integrate into university life;
• helps students to solve their problems;
• seeks to create environment that fosters tolerance, equality and self-expression.
