Associazione Nìke

The Associazione Nike is a no profit, non governmental organization based in Catania. It operates since 2008 and is inspired by the principles of solidarity, equality and young people’s involvement. With this respect, promoting cultural initiatives for young people and students of the University of Catania has been the purpose of the organization.

It therefore aims to:

- promote public ethics addressing the issue of political corruption. With this respect, in april 2012 Nìke organized a project on legality and democracy adressed to the junior high school student;

- focus on the issue of civil rights, such as the legislation on the biological will and the homosexual discrimination through the organization of seminars and conferences;

- promote a stronger gender representation within the political institutions, stressing the public debate at both local and regional level.
