Youth Work and Inclusion in Israel
Welcome to this short description of the upcoming study visit on Youth Work and Inclusion in Israel, organized by EuroMed Youth Unit (EMYU) Israel, SALTO EuroMed, SALTO Inclusion, Regional Capacity Building and Support on EuroMed Youth Program IV (RCBS)

The aim of this study visit is to enable the participants to be exposed of the youth work in Israel, youth policy and stakeholders involved on implementing it, youth inclusion in Israeli society, in all its levels, get familiar with the non-formal education and the way it is organized in Israel, volunteering services, inclusion of different backgrounds groups in the Israeli society (ethnical, religious, etc.) as well as youth with special need and youth at risk.
The study visit will take participants to as much as possible places throughout Israel, showing the uniqueness of each place, visiting youth organizations and showing good samples of best practices, analyzing and discussing youth work in Israel.
Israel is a country with high percentage of representation in all international activities on youth, therefore this study visit will enable participants to gain more knowledge on the participation of Israeli youth organisations in international programs, especially EuroMed Youth Program and Youth in Action Program, giving chance to possible future partnership building in the framework of both Programs between organisations from Israel and EU countries.
Participants:
Study Visit will bring experienced youth workers from Program Countries (i.e. EU and EFTA member states, Turkey) as well as NA’s officers (i.e. representatives of the National Agencies of the Youth in Action Program). In the best case a national pair composed with each profile. National Agencies are invited to spread the call at national level and to select the youth worker that will participate in the Study Visit.
Applicants' Criteria for youth workers:
• are representative of the youth organization or organization working with young people, whom are able and authorize on behalf of its organization to create future projects ideas
• have basic knowledge about the Youth in Action Program (experience in projects with EuroMed countries is very welcome)
• have experience from minimum 1 international youth project which was realized within the Youth in Action Program (other non-formal education experience will be an additional advantage)
• are prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organized by the National Agency or SALTO-YOUTH network
• are prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the Study Visit
