Specific objectives of this project are:
- During the training course the participants will gain skills and competencies to design, run, and evaluate youth activities.
- At the end of the training course the participants will learn 25 methods and techniques used in youth work.
- The participants will get familiar with the characteristics of the youth sector for a better understanding of methods and techniques.
- The participants will increase their knowledge and awareness of values of non-formal education in youth activities.
- To provide basic insight into different concepts of learning in non-formal education.
- To increase the participants’ competencies and motivation to introduce and deal with intercultural learning in their activities.
Methodology and programme elements:
Accelerated Learning will be the main methodology that we will use in this training course. It is based on the latest research on brain and learning. It is open and flexible. It gets learners totally involved. It appeals to all learning styles. It energises and rehumanises the learning process. It seeks to make learning enjoyable. And it is solidity committed to results, results, results.
The training course will have two parts:
The first part (5 days) of the training course will give the participants the opportunity to learn, experience, and reflect upon elements in designing, running, evaluating an intercultural youth activity, to compare their approaches towards learning, facilitation, and leadership, non-formal education and international youth work.
The second part (5 days) is designed as an open floor for the participants to design and to run workshops using what they have learned so far in a safe environment and to get feedback on their approach.
What you will learn:
Module 1: Introduction to training: where do trainers begin, what do trainers do, training versus education, instructional design, what makes a good training
Module 2: Learning Theories: Accelerated Learning, Participants Learning Styles, Trainers Learning Styles, Creating Opportunities to Learning
Module 3: Training Design (Plan): The basic of Training design, Identifying needs, Planning a training, Instructional objectives, Strategies for presenting content, Developing learning materials
Module 4: Skills and Tools for Trainers: Presentation skills, Managing difficult participants, Feedback, Debriefing.

Board and lodging are provided and paid by Life Foundation. We will reimburse up to 250 Euro of the travel costs, but not more than 70%. There is no participation fee.
