Take Initiative 2.0

Training Course

1-6 April 2012 | Vienna, Austria

A training course for tandems (a youngster and a youth worker/coach) who want to implement a Youth Ininitative within the Youth in Action Programme.
The Aims of the Training Course are: 1. Empowerment of youngsters (with fewer opportunities) to take initiative/action and stimulate their active participation in the local community. 2. Enable the ability of participants to set up projects in their local community by using the Youth in Action Programme . 3. Building trust in the tandems of coach and youngster. 4. Preparing the coaches for their supporting role. 5. Provide basics of project management to enable the tandems to apply for a youth initiative. 6. Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in society in general and in this training course in particular. So are you a youngster who is willing to turn a crazy idea in a local project? Are you ready to dive into the process of setting up a project designed and run by you? Are you up for meeting other youngsters from all over Europe to learn from each other and share your enthusiasm for your project idea? Or are young person, youth worker or coach who wants to support the learning process in a youth initiative? Are you willing to discover what it means that a youth initiative is a self-directed learning experience and figure out how you can support this process as a coach? Are you both ready to form a tandem in this training course and learn, laugh, walk and do so much more together? Yes? Then you are the participants we are looking for!
