Short Study Visit in Humanitarian Aid Field and Migration

Study Visit

11-16 November 2019 | Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Türkiye

The aim of this Study Visit is to provide an opportunity to take info about the community centres that are working on humanitarian aid field and migration and to share expertise, knowledge and good practices with participants for future partnerships.

Objectives:

- To look at different ways of doing things that can be adapted and transferred to improve practice in humanitarian aid work in Europe.

- To contribute to the peace building structures and programmes/activities

- To share know-how on different practical approaches to organize responses to migration and displacements.

 

Target Group:

The target group will be 24 participants working on humanitarian aid field and migration.  The participants will be selected by the relevant National Agencies according to their experience in the field, motivations and the way how if they will be using the outcomes to create bigger impacts on more young people and youth organizations.

 

Activities/Content:

There will be different activities and sessions such as;

- Sessions on get to know each other personally and organizationally

- Sessions on sharing good practices and experiences

- Organizational visits (to see real practices); These visits are expexted to happen in Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep provinces that  are the most active in humanitarian aid and working with migration. Many community centres have been established by national and international NGOs and carry out great capacity to this response.

- Sessions on future Project development on the theme

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating NAs of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Turkish National Agency will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

 

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your National Agency (NA) or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
