Partnership Building Activity "HANDLE WITH CARE"

Partnership-building Activity

21-25 November 2012 | Hoje Taastrup (25 kilometres from Copenhagen), Denmark

Every youth exchange has a huge potential towards environment and sustainable development combined with healthy life styles and behaviours. Are you interested in focussing on and deepening out these topics in your next youth exchange?
The partnership building activity "Handle with Care" will focus on developing youth exchanges focussing on the themes: Environment and sustainable development combined with healthy life styles and behaviours. This partnership building activity will provide you with support for partner finding, project idea development and project implementation. A possibility to discover the sustainability dimensions in your projects! More than building partnerships, this activity aims also to start concretely the first steps into the future development of a youth exchange (an action 1.1 project). Therefore it is beneficial that participants come equipped with opinions, needs, ideas and wishes of their young people. AIMS: To build up partnerships for future youth exchanges focussing on the themes (as mentioned above). OBJECTIVES: - Share and explore ideas, experience and areas of common interest in the intercultural settings. - To develop international youth exchanges focussing on environment and sustainable development combined with healthy life styles and behaviours. WORKING METHODS: Different methodologies will be used during the partnership building activity, such as workshops, presentations, exchange of experiences, as well as informal space. PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS: - Participants working directly with young people and who come equipped with opinions, needs, ideas and wishes of their young people. - Participants who are interested in the topics - Participants who are looking for an international partner(s) to organise a youth exchange within the framework of Youth in Action. - Participants are at least 18 years of age and are able to communicate in English.
