Inclusion TV

Training Course

9-13 September 2013 | Innsbruck, Austria

Inclusion TV is a three day course for youth workers who want to learn about inclusion in practice. The course is run in TV Studio enviroment together with young people and promotes practical approaches to inclusion within Youth in Action projects.
From the beginning to the end of the course, participants´work in the context of a working TV studio, where their discussions and activities turn into broadcast programmes. This provides a highly creative and motivating way of sharing and recording ideas as they develop. The TV studio itself is run by a team of young people who will be given necessary training on the day before the course. Inclusion TV provides a creative example of inter-generational dialogue and learning. The training is aimed at professionals who work on youth, inter-generational or inclusion projects. The format of the training is based around practical empowerment of young people, including those facing any form of physical, social, educational or cultural exclusion. The course programme takes the form of a TV channel listing, with different broadcasts going live at certain times throughout the event. Outcomes As a result of this training, participants will: •Have a better understanding of inclusive practice in general, and in the context of Youth in Action in particular. •See inclusion as a mainstream and integral part of a project, not a separate concept or just another box to be ticked. •Feel confident to use Youth in Action as an effective tool for inclusion. •Know where to get additional support, advice and expertise. •Develop new professional contacts and partnerships leading to further projects. •Get up to date information about Youth in Action and Erasmus for All. •Belong to an active network for inclusion within Youth in Action.
