Project Management Training for youth of minorities, migrants and those raised in orphanages (18+)
Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary
March 22nd – 31st, 2012.

Do you want to learn how and start acting?
Are you from a minority, a migrant community or an orphanage?

If yes, then this training is for you!

Goal of the training: To provide youth of minorities, migrants and those raised in orphanages basic skills in project management so they can organize projects of their choice in their environment and possibly create a livelyhood for themselves (and maybe others) while doing so.

Topics of the training:
- experiencing an adventure project – expedition in the wilderness
- „dreaming” – envisioning what we would like to create in this world
- „planning” – making the dream into a practical plan with the help of personal coaching
- practical and simple project management tools (ex: brainstorming, timing of a project, finding and allocating resources, follow-up, community decision making, etc.)
- experiencing that anything is possible through adventure education (including high ropes course exercises)
- creating a mini project in the nearby village to practice

Methods of the training:
- adventure education (*see below) and learning through experience
- small group discussions and interactive presentations
- a chance to try out the new techniques learned in a mini project still during the training
- documenting the plans in the „Book of Dreams” – all participants get a copy
- use of on-site translators if needed (if you would like, you can even apply to be one of them and get 20 Euros / day for it!)

Date: March 22-31st, 2012 (not including travel days)
Place: Galyatető mountain resort, Hungary
Participants: 25 young people of minorities, migrants and those raised in orphanages from Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary aged 18+.
Costs: The project is funded by the Youth in Action program and Visegrad Fund covering 100% of all travel fees, as well as all food and accomodation.
Participants will need to pay only their travel insurance, there is NO participation fee. :)

You can then proceed to buy your travel tickets to Galyatető, Hungary according to the Conditions of the Reimbursement.

Arrivals and departures:
Arrival till 18:00 Wednesday, 21st March, 2012
The program starts 09:00 Thursday, 22nd March, 2012
The program finishes 22:00 Saturday, 31st March, 2012
Departure till: 12:00 Sunday, 1st April, 2012

We are asking you to arrive on the date given above, to the accommodation.
If you arrive 1-2 days earlier or leave later, please arrange your own accommodation for the extra time.
We expect you to participate on the whole training! (It means coming later or leaving earlier is not allowed!)
Venue: The training will take place in Galyatető, Hungary, at the Fogadó a Táncoló Kecskékhez.
In the accommodation there are 3-4 bed bedrooms with shower.

*About adventure education:
Adventure education uses the world of experience as a classroom, where participants try themselves in adventure activities and challenge, through which they can discover and develop the resources hidden within, so they can learn to better tackle certain problems, such as the question of inclusion and exclusion.

Still, the experience of these programs offers a great deal more than just fun. They offer an opportunity for participants to get to know themselves, each other, learn from the success or failure of certain behaviours, and have a chance to try new behaviours in an emotionally safe environment. Adventure education challenges participants, and meeting these challenges develops new tools for coping with problems, self-confidence and endurance. Team adventure activities help build trusting communities, develops communal decision-making skills, leadership skills and tolerance.
