We invite you to join a course on Democracy and Human Rights designed for youth workers who work in this field. The course designed for both – youth workers who work in the field of strengthening democracy and human rights in society as well as for youth workers who work providing democracy and human rights education. The course will take place from 5th till 12th November 2017 in Moscow, Russia. Democracy and human rights are powerful tools for the developing of society. But how can we reach required level of their development? We invite youth workers who want to discuss these issues together and find the answers to join the course! The course is designed for youth workers who would like to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of democracy and human rights and education in the field of democracy and human rights. We invite experienced youth workers as well as youth workers who have none or minimal experience in the field of democracy and human rights. The course is for those who would like to learn more about the topics and determine the ways how they can develop their future work in the fields of democracy and human rights. The following topics will be discussed within the course: The development of democracy and human rights – what are the ways how youth workers can influence on the level of the development of democracy and human rights; sharing best practices in the field of democracy and human rights. Democracy and human rights education – what is the role of education in the field of democracy and human rights; where to find the tools and the programs on this education; how to become a human rights trainer. Youth projects in the field of democracy and human rights – which kind of youth projects in the field of democracy and human rights can be developed, what are the organizations sponsoring such projects. Funding opportunities – what are the funding opportunities for projects in the field of democracy and human rights. Partnerships – how to find partners for the projects in the field of democracy and human rights; participants will be also introduced to each other as potential partners and will learn about the possibilities for cooperation. Careers for specialists in the areas of democracy and human rights – what are the career opportunities for the specialists in these fields; careers at UN, Amnesty International and other international organizations. Other topics upon request – we try to make the course as suitable to learning needs of participants as possible and therefore we leave the space in the program to include the sessions based upon the requests of participants about what they would like to learn.
