The objectives of the training are:
To learn more tools and techniques to better address the needs of young people with fewer opportunities in inclusive short term volunteering projects
To review the preparation, implementation, and evaluation techniques and to be adjusted for the inclusive workcamps for the 2008 season
To raise awareness and provide skills to enhance the participation of disadvantaged youngsters in including without excluding
To exchange experiences and best practices of the organizations about youth and community mobilization for inclusive workcamps
To update the YAP Inclusion Tool Kit
To promote workcamps, short term EVS, and other short term voluntary service opportunities as a tool to improve the participation of disadvantaged young people
To consolidate the network of youth workers and youth leaders in Europe and its neighboring countries to work together on the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through short term voluntary service projects

Youth Action for Peace (NGO/Others)
Youth Action for Peace is an international peace movement founded in 1923 with branches in several European countries. YAP brings together young people who have as their goal a society of justice, peace and human solidarity. The main activities of the international movement are international work camps and youth exchanges, seminars and training courses and peace and development education.
YAP tries to raise awareness or issues such as global interdependence, development, human rights and self-determination. Such work has recently focused upon areas such as Latin America, South-East Europe, Middle-East. Among the tools used for peace and development education are seminars, meetings, cultural events and thematic work camps.
YAP is member of: the European Youth Forum, the Association of Voluntary Service Organisations (AVSO), the Co-ordination Committee of International Voluntary Service (CCIVS), and the Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA)

Travel will in principle be reimbursed at 68% (including 2% as a contribution to the YAP International Solidarity Fund. The maximum reimbursement (indicated in the call attached) is to ensure having as many participants as possible. Of course and not to penalise anyone, flexibility is possible and this shall not prevent you to apply. If needed, do not hesitate to contact the YAP International secretariat.
