13-21 April 2013 | Naturefriend House Hanover, Germany

2013 - IYNF’s Year of Action for Change. This training will provide you with an opportunity to learn, share and reflect upon their experiences, struggles and victories of activism and youth work, discover ways of effective change work and inspired action.
In the age of social media, increasingly automised society and constant information overload, it is important to know how to make your actions, happenings and campaigns fresh, interesting and attractive in order to encourage those around you to become active in their communities, supportive of your cause or involved in your activities. By this course we want to: - provide young people with tools, knowledge and skills for participation in creating change; - inspire and empower young people to pursue their talents and competences and connect them with the cause that they feel most passionate about; - give space to explore historical examples of youth organizations and analyse current trends of participation; - explore the place of self-development in youth organizations; - discover the educational and empowering role of youth organizations; - give space to discuss personal and professional dilemmas when working as a social change agents. In essence, this training course is for you, if you are an existing or aspiring local or global activist and changemaker and you want to find out how to involve youth and community into active participation. International Young Naturefriends (Youth NGO)

IYNF is an international organisation bringing together Young Naturefriends and their organisations across Europe. It was established in 1975 and currently has 19 member organisations. With more than 120.000 young members organised in over a thousand local groups, it is one of the major European youth organisations.

IYNF combines three roles and identities:
1. IYNF is a network of groups and organisations which cooperate together. The core role of IYNF is to facilitate this cooperation by creating links, organizing meeting, providing direct support and promoting nature-friendly activities all over Europe.
2. IYNF is a training and exchange organisation organizing value-driven youth exchanges and capacity building activities for the benefit of its members. We do so in our core fields of outdoor programming, amateur art and environmental education. Our methods are based on experiential and intercultural education.
3. IYNF is a value-based organisation representing its members at the European level. By our delegations, publications and promotion activities we carry our values of IYNF to European political stakeholder: respect, equality, solidarity, sustainability and love and care for nature.

Practically, this means following products and services:
- capacity building activities for youth workers and facilitators of youth exchanges
- international youth exchanges for community building
- content and methodical publications
- continuous information flow with targeted media channels
- representation and promotion at the European level
- finding partners for networking projects
- mentoring and support for networking project
- software for contact, knowledge and project management
- space for development of common projects

Costs

50 EUR participation fee + 30% of your travel costs. All the other costs like accommodation, food, 70% of travel costs will be covered.
