Act effectively! Youth Academy of Local Leaders
Training Course
18 February - 8 June 2014 | Konstancin (near Warsaw), Poland
Youth Academy of Local Leaders is a three-module training for young people to support them with knowledge and abilities so they could play active role in their communities encouraging and inspiring positive change. WORKING LANGUAGE: Polish.
· Do you have a group of friends and you want to make together positive change in your neighbourhood?
· Do you want to know how to act more effectively in your voluntary work or work in your youth organisation?
OBJECTIVES:
The Academy provides a number of skills for young people SPEAKING POLISH to use in their groups and organizations. The aim is to support young people with knowledge and abilities so they could play active role in their communities encouraging and inspiring positive change. The Academy consist of three four-day trainings, taking place every two months.
The Academy gives young people opportunity to:
· learn how to influence positive change in their
groups and local community
· learn how to work in a team effectively to
achieve goals
· improve communication skills
· improve their ability to make decisions and
motivate others
· learn tools for examining local needs
· learn more about building local partnership
· find partners for international cooperation
· PUT acquired skills INTO PRACTICE
· learn more about the Youth in Action
Programme
In the meantime between these three trainings participants will do various tasks in order to implement acquired skills and try them out in their specific context of activity.
Each participant will also have an opportunity to take part in consultations with a youth coach to plan future activities and personal path of development.
WHEN?
February 18th – 23rd 2014
April 1st – 6th 2014
June 3rd – 8th 2014
The first and the last day is for a travel.
PARTICIPANTS:
The Academy is designed for young people:
· aged 18-24
· fluently speaking Polish
· who carried out their first local
activities/projects
· are interested in organising activities to
influence positive change in their groups and
local community
· are willing to take part in all three trainings
(no possibility to take part just in one module)
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE TRAINING?

Take into consideration that application form is in Polish.
Although Polish National Agency use their own on-line application system, NA will provide access to received applications to interested Agencies.
Sending application form means agreement for taking part in all three trainings.

Costs
This project is financed by the YOUTH IN ACTION Programme. Being selected for his training, all costs concerning board and lodging, facilitation will be covered by Polish National Agency.
In reference to travel costs please contact your National Agency involved in this project to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses. Young people from Neighbouring Partner Countries should contact Magdalena Paszkowska from Polish National Agency (mpaszkowska@frse.org.pl).
